He swung her into his arms and flew across the square with her.
She laughed shocked but stepped into his arms, arms around the back of his neck.
"You did it," she panted, forehead on his.
"We did it," he corrected, tracing the line of his mouth with hers.
The rest of the world melted away for a moment—just the two of them, sunlit, pounding hearts beating in sync.
