Golden Fleece Percy Jackson Novels & Stories

" The one who cursed Medusa." "Well, if you put it that way." She grimaced. A guy moved forward, he wore a tank top, and Jeans. He held a golden winged staff with two snakes entwined around it. He had brown hair, and obsidian eyes. Which kinda reminded me of the girl I'd met, with rainbow colored hair. Was she also a god?! "I'm Hermes" he said, smiling, with his hand stretched out for an handshake. I took his hand. He was surprisingly good looking, for a god of thieves.

Athena pulls me happily, through the corridor. We enter a surreal gigantic golden Mansion, the palace staffs all bow respectfully as we pass by “Yeah Hermione, come meet the best brother in the whole wide world.” Ares says proudly, pulling me hastily. It is a wonder how I am able to keep up with such pace as Ezli’s countenance becomes sadder as we approach where Ares and Athena were taking me. They push the door open excitedly “Helios! We need you to meet a friend of ou..” The words dried up in their mouth. My heart race painfully at the sight before me; Glinda is straddling the mystery man of my dreams. Helios; My mate.

During that time, Hermes had become acquainted with the demigod and together with other gods who were against the rule of Elektris, partook in the cosmic battle. Hermes had been injured very badly with a lot of other gods having been slain. He would have also fallen at the death stare of Medusa whose power could turn anyone who looked her in the eyes to stone. Perseus had gotten hold of Hermes’s armor, as at the time, Hermes used to have a large golden shield known as Aegis. The demigod then used the shield as a mirror to avoid looking directly at Medusa and was able to slay the Gorgon without turning into stone.

"Percy! You are the man behind all these?" I asked with the ranging beat of my heart. He signalled the last few beasts standing to stop attacking us and it did actually stop. I was stunned and so were the others. I stared at Percy, hoping it wasn't him. I could be wrong. But his eyes, his glittering eyes that glowed into purple, I was fucking sure it was him. He smiled horrendously and shivered my body hair. Five Alphas went in front of me, facing Percy, including Fenris. Percy then massaged the black crystal ball he was holding, it produced smoke but thank goodness, the smoke didn't seem harmful.

She ignores my defensive posture and keeps speaking in a calm tone. “Yeah? It means nothing to me.” I pivot my foot, ready to turn around. I’m only familiar with the ten miles I ran with Arrow this morning, but I will figure something out. “Well, starting right now, it does. He doesn’t have much progeny, but you are one of them. It makes you unique, Bronx.” She crosses her legs and laces her finger over her knee. “You are a Greek demigod. Grandson of the Titan Perses and damn if you don’t look just like that cocky bastard. Even more so than the Frouros or the other four Guardians. Oh, I’ve never thought of it before, but I guess it also makes Hecate your Auntie.”

"Use it wisely, got it? Don’t blow it all at once." "Thank you, Aunt Fancy!" Percy grabbed the card and rushed out the door, heading straight to a luxury boutique to pick out jewelry. After browsing for a while, his eyes landed on a pair of elegant earrings. "I’ll take these. Wrap them up for me." Just then, a sharp voice rang out beside him. "Percy Moore!?" He turned and saw Dawn, eyes wide in disbelief, practically shouting at him. "You told me you were bankrupt. How do you have money to buy something like this?"

The door slammed shut with a heavy, airtight *thud*, cutting off the roar of the burning mansion completely. As Marcus slid into the driver's seat and jammed the vehicle into reverse, the sedan accelerated away from the burning crater of the Gilded Fortress, plunging deep into the fog-heavy upstate roads. Vivian stared out the tinted rear window, watching the orange glow of the fire fade into the gray mist. She reached into the pocket of her torn cashmere sweater, her fingers brushing past a small, hard object she had managed to snatch from the floorboards of the master suite before the explosion.

Later – I would think about it later. Ylonte picked up a pouch from the table and brought it over to me. He pulled out a gorgeous blue phoenix pendant. The ancient magic in it hummed. “She will need to wear this in order to activate her flames. They are Hecate’s gift to her. Blue flames burn the greatest and are the most deadly. She will learn how to manipulate them with practice.”

We’re the reincarnation of the demigod. ‘I-I know who you are. I could feel your presence the moment you came close. My name is Fleex, my lords.’ The octopus was looking around us nervously, but it did not even try to flee anymore. Instead, it was glancing around us nervously. ‘I am very sorry for my behavior a while ago. It’s just that I keep seeing weird monsters these days.’ ‘Do they look like a cross of a human and a sea creature?’ It was a pointless question to ask, but still, I just wanted to make sure.

I couldn’t answer because the truth was… I wouldn’t have. I opened the pouch and showed her the crystal. It glowed faintly in my palm. “I found this under our bed”, Freya gasped, “Moon goddess,” Freya stared at it and her hand reached out slowly and touched it. Then she broke down in tears. She cried so hard that I pulled her into my arms and held her tight. “She called it an anchor and she also said the spell needs it.” Silence settled between us. “I…” She laughed through the tears. “I’m not crazy.”
