Accidental Bibliophiles

Accidental Bibliophiles

The ladies all giggle and Julie stands, handing a new bookmark to each of us. "Yes. We figured we'd get you ones that suited you a little better." she says. The new one is dark blue with gold lettering that says 'Real men read dirty books'. I smile and look over at Ev who's showing Harper his excitedly. "These are great. Thank you." I say just as Bri nudges me. "Oh! Tell them your joke, love!" Harper says excitedly. Ev rolls his eyes before addressing the group.

My Boyfriend Is A Fictional Character

My Boyfriend Is A Fictional Character

From my emotions and feelings towards her, I was still like a reader reading the book with the b*tch butting into the story. I walk my way where I could find total silence, the library. There were no students around and only the librarian is there. I step inside and I was overwhelmed with silence, this is what I want, peace. I move my feet slowly, looking at the book, trying to grab a masterpiece. There were thick and thin books. I look at the story titles one-by-one. I went to the fantasy section. She was not much of an avid reader, okay perhaps she just had a specific preference of books that she could hardly afford to read with her busy lifestyle but she could definitely be tempted into reading if she continued to be in that room. Anelia appreciated the modern library with inserted lighting that was not too bright or too dark but emitted just the perfect lighting to induce one to step into the world of intellect and possibly choose not to leave. Thinking about how Mrs Hally loved books, she welcomed the presence of such a magnificent library. She walked further into the room, tracing the books with her hands as she moved along. She passed one ladder and came to a section that seemed

This is a really outstanding book, very well written. However I ran across a problem that completely disheartened me. I had read up to chapter 20 and when I went back the next day to resume where I had left off it put me right back at chapter 1.I can't pay again so I gave up and I loved this story.

great love story, the name on the title doesn't quite fit. I find dex quite warm toward his gf. she's a bit confusing in her attitude but it works worth reading with exception unless the waiting 9n update becomes endless like 2 books I began and it has never been updated in weeks feel it won't. unfa

A NEW PET FOR THE MAFIA KING

A NEW PET FOR THE MAFIA KING

A fucking massive library. I glance around at floor-to-ceiling shelves lined every inch of the walls. The books were stacked in perfect order, some looking old and worn, and others new and untouched. They were arranged so detailed that it almost didn’t make sense. Damien had a library in his house! A Massacre center, a dungeon, a torture room, anything of this such wouldn't be a surprise but of all the things he had a damn library. I would never had thought of that. I moved slowly, my fingers trailing along the spines of the books, my eyes scanning over the titles, surprised by how much variety there was. War history. Philosophy. Literature. Romance. Cooking? He had cookbooks?

Resisting Alpha Damon

Resisting Alpha Damon

Different genres of books line the shelves, their spines whispering promises of forgotten tales and undiscovered knowledge. “Woah, how did I not know of this magnificent place?” Joy bubbles within me at the sight of this treasure. “Did Damon intentionally put that painting to lead me here?” My voice echoes in the vast underground library that looks the size of three chambers. My steps quicken, and I begin to explore the books on the shelves. There are lots of books- ranging from history books, to mind building books, fantasy, and other about the principles of being an Alpha. Other shelves have folktales, and even romance novels.

The Alpha's Abused Mate

The Alpha's Abused Mate

There was a deafening silence the moment I enter the library just as I expected, this is the place that I go with every time I have free time because not everyone goes here, students don't fancy coming into the library anymore and do their research here since google is already available in just a tap of a finger. I went to the far-end corner of the library where I hide an old and very outdated book entitled 'Werewolves Anatomy'. This book is the reason why I keep on coming back to this library, the librarian doesn't let me borrow this book, she said that if I want to read it then I need to read it inside the library since the book is expensive and a limited edition, that being said, I don't

The CEO's Reluctant Mistress

Feeling at a loss as to what to do with myself, I decided to explore the library. Wandering through the currently empty house on my way to the library, I begin to find myself feeling rather lonely. Flicking Kenzie a quick text to see what she is up to, I walk through the door and into the library. Perusing the shelves I see that the majority are classics such as Charles Dickens and Jane Austin. But tucked away in the corner I spy one of my favourite fantasy series. A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin. Curling up in the lone red leather chair I open the first book and begin to read.

The sound of water gently lapping against the shelves provided a soothing ambiance, creating a serene atmosphere that encouraged deep contemplation and study. As they ventured deeper into the library, Tritan, Finrir, Nerissa, Madissa, Bryan, and Joe found themselves surrounded by rows upon rows of books. The sheer volume of knowledge contained within those pages was awe-inspiring. Each book seemed to hold the answers to countless mysteries, waiting to be discovered by those who sought enlightenment.

Living With The Player

Living With The Player

Books are removed and added, so it's kept up to date. What makes it special is the little section of books from best-sellers across the world. For the literature students, of course, I like to take advantage of that perk too. There are no library passes, but you'll have to check in with the librarian to get a book out. There's a common room with several chairs to sit and read, but since it's Tuesday and a little past noon, the place is almost empty. I count two girls and three guys when I passed. I visit the novel section. The likes of pride and prejudice, ugly love, after, and a few rom-com are enticing but I skip them all and take up a psychology text. I'll take those home and read them la

Frequently Asked Questions

Exploring the depth of a library can be like stepping into a treasure trove of stories waiting to be uncovered. One book that often catches my eye is 'Where the Crawdads Sing' by Delia Owens. This one blends a coming-of-age story with a murder mystery, set against the lush backdrop of the North Carolina marshes. The way Owens immerses readers in nature is simply beautiful, and the emotional journey of Kya, the main character, is something that really tugs at the heartstrings. It's a tale about isolation, resilience, and the power of nature, which I think resonates deeply with a lot of readers.

Another gem I stumbled upon is 'Circe' by Madeline Miller. The retelling of the life of Circe, a figure from Greek mythology, brought such fresh perspectives to old tales. Miller's writing is lyrical, and you can truly feel the emotions leap off the page. For those who adore mythology, this book offers a powerful, feminist twist on the narrative. It’s not every day you get to read about a woman finding her voice amidst the gods.

I'll also throw in 'The Night Circus' by Erin Morgenstern, which is an enchanting experience. The circus that appears only at night draws you into its magical world where two young illusionists are bound in a competition. Morgenstern’s unique style of storytelling and vivid imagery creates a lush atmosphere that immediately captures your imagination. Each character is intricately woven into the plot, and I think it’s a fantastic choice for those seeking something whimsical and utterly engaging.

Whether you're drawn to emotion, mythology, or magic, these books offer wonderful escapes and memorable journeys that can stick with you for ages, leaving you pondering even after you’ve closed the cover.
