THE MARRIAGE GAME

THE MARRIAGE GAME

There's something about Odette's company that's like a balm to my soul. That evening, we're back at her place, cuddled up on the sofa with Natasha and Gia. The lights are dim, and the TV is playing some cheesy rom-com that's more ridiculous than romantic. But it's exactly what I need. We're all in our comfiest pajamas, surrounded by bowls of popcorn and an absurd amount of chocolate. Natasha throws a piece of popcorn at the TV and laughs at some over-the-top dramatic scene. "This is the worst movie I've ever seen," she says, grinning.

DANGEROUS GAMES

DANGEROUS GAMES

"Besides, this way is more useful. He seduces you. He falls for you and then when the truth comes out, he's too devastated to function. Too destroyed to be credible. Problem solved." “Okay, whatever it is you want it'll be done.” “Good.” And he hung up. Diego Vaughn was going to get hurt badly and I was going to be the one who did it because that was the plan. My phone was still in my hand. I opened a new message and started typing before I could stop myself but instead of texting Diego, I did something else. Arranged deliveries. First: The art book. Limited edition. Diego had mentioned it once in an interview I'd read. He said it was his dream to own it.

Bad Medicine

Bad Medicine

“This is insane. You’re talking about playing chess with killers.” “That’s the only game there is,” he said quietly. The fire in his voice terrified her. Not because it was reckless, but because it was calm. He wasn’t afraid. He belonged in this kind of war. And maybe, deep down, he even enjoyed it. The phone buzzed again. Another message. This one froze them both. Unknown Number: She looks good in your shirt. Wonder what she looks like without it. Sienna’s blood ran cold. Her head whipped to the boarded-up window, to the tiny cracks between the wood, to the vast forest pressing in.

Dangerous Game

Dangerous Game

Greta had been fussing over Vivian since the robbery, which in her world meant plying Vivian with enough food to feed all of midtown Manhattan during lunch hour. I barely noticed the stinging hot water as I showered off the blood and sweat. Vivian insisted she was fine, but few people recovered from having a gun pressed to their head that quickly. According to Greta, she was currently taking a nap, and she never napped this late in the day. Or ever, now that I thought about it. I turned off the water, my thoughts as clouded as the steamed-up mirror. I’d done my part. I’d punished the perpetrators,

A Love so Good

A Love so Good

Her eyes shamelessly oggled the rise an fall of the prominent Adam's apple and the water and sweat trickling down the jaw rolling down the appealing throat and then down the sexy collarbone before. Anya snapped out when she realised that she'd been checking out the man blatantly and blushed looking away. "Ye..yes" she replied stuttering a bit remembering the question he asked earlier. "That's nice. Um.. I don't think we've introduced ourselves before though we've seen each other a lot before." He smirked playfully. "I'm Leon Brooks, 2nd year Law major." Leon smiled beautifully and extended his hand for a shake. Anya gasped lightly at the beautiful smile and held his hand with her own shaking

Her Man

Her Man

Olivia would need to get used to seeing blood; she would be seeing a lot more of it. “Are you fucking insane?!”, she screamed at me. I guessed she did have some right to scream. Her dress was very beautiful. Jade knew how to get the job done, if only she did not betray the Brewers, the Mafia, she would have been fine by now. But there she was one on the ground, lifeless, blood oozing out of her head.

For the Greater Good

For the Greater Good

"Sir, you're too kind..." Alan answered firmly, "Not at all! A hero will not be left to struggle on his own! We cannot let a hero have his spirits be broken!" He turned to the people behind him. "Here, let me introduce you. This is Dr. Jimmy Langdon, a cardiologist from Hopkins Hospital. He will be consulting on your case. This is the director of the Ministry of Health, responsible for arranging your follow-up treatment." Jimmy stepped forward and carefully reviewed my parents' medical records. "I've read about your condition. Although it's somewhat complicated, it's completely curable. We have developed the best treatment plan to ensure your full recovery."

I don't know what's on that woman that she was able to captivate Black. *** Daze POV "What was that Daze?" Daryl asked me. "She's the girl I'm talking about," I told him. I can't stop myself from smiling. "Damn! Coincidence, huh? She's the great Black. She is known in Different bars and clubs, if she looks easy to get, you're mistaken, that girl is really scary!" "I heard about the great Black being the hottest girl in this area, kissing guys then afterward dumping them but I didn't realize that she's just an ordinary girl, nothing special! She’s just basic, " I said and drank the beer.

Her Deadly Revenge

Her Deadly Revenge

Her face was scratched, and she was bleeding in a few spots, but for the most part, she looked intact, and she was smiling at me with pride. "Why are you just watching?" I yelled at Thomas as bloody saliva flew off my lips. "You could've helped." "You one badass bitch, Babygirl." Thomas smiled at me, lovingly. "I couldn't get in the way of greatness. I stepped in for Miranda, but you took them both down just like I knew you would." "He's right, Case. You kicked ass." Miranda chimed in. "Did you see Danielle's face when Case kicked her in the crotch?" Grant erupted with laughter as he grabbed Derek's shoulder to hold himself up.

I really got sucked into this book. It was very good. It has nothing to do with wolves, like the blurb above says. It's more like an end of the world type book. Wasn't something I normally read, but I'm glad I did.
Sabrina
The blurb and the title don’t match this book. The story is about a zombie apocalypse, a bunch of strangers that meet and their relationships that develop throughout. I thought the ending was good, but I would love to read a sequel for some much needed closure. Overall, it’s a really good book.

Her Deadly Revenge

Her Deadly Revenge

She lay there until she was sure that the person was gone. Immediately she noticed that he was outta sight, she came out from the bed with cautious steps and went outside to peep, to see what was going on. Lots of dead bodies lay on the floor, people were murdered in cold blood that brought shivers down her spine. She couldn't believe that Beta Derek was so wicked that he didn't care about shedding innocent people's blood just for the throne. I couldn't believe how much my father trusted and respected him and yet he turned out to be our worst nightmare.
