Black The Origin Chapter 37: Stepping out. It was a busy street in the Arzona Capital. At the market, lots of tourists and citizens have preoccupied the streets. And there’s also someone named Gunter Bosch.” “Hmm…” he mulled it over, biting his lip. “And the timeframe?”

Lex Castle Blackmoor is filled with activity as servants prepare the gardens for a party. People have been up early cooking food and decorating the gardens with balloons and streamers. The magnificent fortress stood on a cliff's edge, built entirely of black obsidian that gave off a dark sheen in the moonlight. The castle seemed carved from the night itself. A fortress of shadow and power. "We're here," my mother said, her voice thrilled. "Are you ready?" I smoothed my dress and nodded. The car pulled to a stop before the castle gates. Ancient stone doors were carved with intricate crests. Two giant stone dragons coiled around the pillars, their ruby eyes glowing in the dark. As the great doors of the Obsidian Castle swung open, I saw him. Damien. He stood before a towering window, a silhouette against the night.

I needed knowledge. What was he doing with the Heartstones? Where did he keep the Living Book? I had to find out. Night fell like a curtain, cloaking the halls in deep reds and shadows. I decided I'll go seek some answers before meeting Zevarion by the garden. I changed into a black gown, perfect for blending into the darkened corridors. The entire castle was black and red, perfect for disappearing. I slipped into the grand stairwell, heart racing, each step a silent prayer. Upward. Always upward. I didn’t know exactly where Xareth stayed, but no one ever ventured to the top floors, that alone made them suspect.
