Under the Hallow Veil (Editingle Halloween Anthology)

Under the Hallow Veil (Editingle Halloween Anthology)

“Faster please, we don’t have all night.” I received another empty-eyed glare. * * * One awkward, slightly twisted hand poked from the now empty grave. The coffin, long broken through, had pieces of wood laying haphazardly in a semi-pile next to a mound of turned earth. A lengthy groan echoed in the otherwise silent cemetery, rebounding off grey and white tombstones that shone a shivering pale beneath the moon. Small lamps dotted the grounds, but on this night they weren’t needed in the Goddess’s light.

Beyond The Hallow Grave: Editingle Indie House Anthology (Ed

The witch knew the fog was created by the restless ghosts that populated the old boneyard but continued on despite her strong revulsion of all spirits. Quietly, so as not to alert the zombie, Mr. McLowry, who made his home in one of the large mausoleums inside to her presence, Mrs. Belfry entered through the gates and down the trail to the right. Some of the grave markers within the cemetery date back to as far as the 1300’s, broken and decayed, the markings on their surfaces barely discernible now. Mrs. Belfry carefully stepped around the stones, taking the path toward the tomb that was located at the rear of the grounds.

The Demon

The Demon

“Isabel Norret.” Without stopping to think, I stretched my hand out above the grave. True, a woman had died there, and it was a bad death, in hate and agony. That was a haunted place. That was how graveyards could awaken—when the pain of those who lay in the consecrated soil became too much for the ground to bear. And if the thrall who had consecrated that land cared more about his belly than his debt, everything would happen even faster. And the horror would start. Well, it would be a horror for humans. I didn’t really care.

The Wolf And The Pure Blood

The Wolf And The Pure Blood

The unholy fusion of souls and bodies bore witness to his power, a grotesque testament to his mastery over the forces of death and necromancy. As the winged abominations soared into the night sky, their haunting cries filled the air, echoing through the desolate graveyard. Dagon's ritual had succeeded, and now his undead minions would carry out his dark bidding, a twisted army to enforce his will and spread fear and despair across the land. The once peaceful graveyard had been transformed into a realm of dread, where the boundary between life and death had been violated, and the restless souls of the departed were bound to serve the dark designs of their malevolent master.

The Mafia Don’s Temptation

The Mafia Don’s Temptation

Instead, it had turned into a nightmare. The silence in the cemetery was thick, broken only by the occasional rustle of leaves whispering secrets to the wind. Even though it was daytime, dark clouds hung low in the sky. It had rained heavily these past few days, as if the universe was mourning with me. Gravestones surrounded me in the large expanse of land, jutting from the ground in different shapes and sizes. On most of them, the inscriptions were faded and illegible, as if the memories of those buried beneath them were slowly being erased. The grass was dark green, patches of it wilting under the weight of the damp earth and the scent of moist soil.

Claimed By My Alpha Bully

Under the eerie glow of a full moon, Zilver and Eskaal stood side by side in a desolate graveyard, surrounded by ancient tombstones and gnarled trees. Before them, a formidable army of vampiric creatures, their eyes blood-red and fangs exposed, advanced with menacing intent. In their hands, they wielded weapons forged from wicked intentions.

I enjoy how the author portrays the female lead with a different persona. In werewolf novels, the female lead is typically innocent and powerless, but the author opted to create an unconventional FL character, someone bold and fearless. It's absolutely adorable!

Intriguing, I have read lots of wolf stories abd none has gotten my attention like this book has. It is funny and captivating, especially the "tasteless strawberry line in the book." I will keep reading, I recommend to everyone looking for something different ...

said Austin. Meanwhile, within Nirvana Cemetery, the countless gravestones populated across the pitch-black darkness of nighttime gave off an eerie feeling. A blood-curdling scream broke the silence across the cemetery and sent the crows flying away. The crows flew up atop the cemetery as they let out harsh and eerie wails…

The sound is unbearable—a symphony of breaking glass mixed with voices that bleed into one another until I can't tell where one Selene ends and another begins. My feet leave the ground. We all rise, pulled by invisible threads toward something that shouldn't exist—a place I've only heard whispered about in the darkest corners of lunar prophecy. “The Throat of Echoes.’ The legendary graveyard where broken selves go to scream their final truths before silence swallows them whole.

The Last Omega: Fated to the Cruel Alpha King

The Last Omega: Fated to the Cruel Alpha King

I veered left instead of right, toward the neglected cemetery that sat on consecrated ground no one used anymore. I felt them hesitate. Good. The wards around the graves distorted tracking magic. Old blood magic. Messy. Unreliable. Perfect. I slipped between headstones slick with moss, boots soundless against damp earth. The air here was heavy with memory and rot and old grief, so thick it clung to my lungs. I slowed deliberately now, shoulders sagging, posture collapsing inward. Let them see me break. Gianna’s grave sat near the old oak, just as I'd been told.
