The Last Station Standing
Kazimir was elbow-deep in the floor panels, sparks flying as he tried to bridge the connection with a manual jumper-cable.
Suddenly, the sub stopped moving. The giant creature let go, its violet light fading as it darted away into the darkness.
"Why did it stop?" Jun asked, his face pressed to the glass.
Elara looked out. They were no longer in the narrow canyon. They had entered a massive Subterranean Cavern (a giant cave located beneath the seafloor). The walls of the cave were lined with thousands of glowing Isotope shards, creating a cathedral of violet light.
In the center of the cavern sat something that defied logic.
