The concrete floor groaned and began to tilt violently toward the edge of the building. The bed started to slide. "Vance!" I screamed, lunging for the railing as the hospital bed—with Caspian still strapped to it—careened toward the thousand-foot drop into the city streets below. I caught the edge of the metal frame, my boots skidding on the wet concrete, my body dangling over the precipice as the weight of the man I loved began to pull us both into the abyss.

My back slammed into the stairs. The air left my lungs. Then gravity took over. I was tumbling, my body hitting step after step. Each impact sent pain shooting through me.

'Wait, I can call her mobile' he thought. He immediately dialed her number and her phone started to ring from below. 'Is it coming from somewhere below' he thought with a frown. He looked around and belatedly noticed a cliff. It's steep and looks a little slippery. 'Did she fell from here' he thought in horror. 'She is a human. If she fell from here, she must have broken a few bones' he thought grimly. The tress around him is thick. It's not a sufficient place for him to shift. So he slowly slid down the grassy steep slope. He reached the bottom, the dried leaves making a crushing sound as he place his barefoot on them.

I asked. “I’m trying to make sure I don’t fall too!” “Sorry geez!” “You should be. I’m saving your life and you’re giving me shit!” Grant snapped. “Then just let me fall then!” I yelped as I felt myself slip from his grasp. “I wasn’t serious!” “That wasn’t on purpose, I think the ground is breaking.” “Pull me up fast then!” “I’m trying Bowen!” I felt a rumble against me. Grant’s eyes widened before the cliff started crumbling. I screamed as I fell. I didn’t fall for long before landing on something with a thud. My back was killing me.

“Grab onto the other one. Please!” Honestly, slowly falling off is making me scared of dying now. So I reach Anya’s right arm. She counts from one to three before she pulls me upwards. She caught me not too far from the edge so it was easier for me to reach the ground. We are both panting, though Anya’s very audible. I lift my head and I met Anya’s gaze. I realize that Anya is laying on the ground, while I was laying down on her. I gulp. Her natural brown eyes reflect the moon in the sky. Another gulp before I turn away from her and hit the ground. I left my eyes stuck on the sky. The stars are winking at me like it’s trying to seduce me. And oh I’m so turned on.
