Zara's POV Despite the buzzing in my ears, I forced my hands steady and tried the third vault. It obeyed. The door sighed open and inside lay a journal swaddled in aged velvet, like a relic waiting to be unwrapped. “Of course, another journal,” I muttered, then slipped it into my arms. It was enormous. I opened my bag, but even the large one I’d brought barely swallowed the book. I jammed it in anyway, grateful the velvet cushioned its bulk.

A financial journal rested in my lap while I skimmed through an article about emerging infrastructure investments. I was halfway through a paragraph about renewable energy markets when voices drifted in through the open front windows. Tiny voices. Arguing. Very passionately. I lowered the magazine. “That is literally not how gravity works.” Eli. Immediately recognizable. Taking my stance I tried to jump with all of my power into my legs. Jumping with all my might my disappointment is immeasurable. You're kidding me, right!? I could only jump about ten inches! What a weird gravity. Don't call me a dumb if I didn't notice it earlier it's not like my body feels heavy but it more like something is pulling me downwards as soon I leave the ground. Maybe because I don't feel anything that I didn't notice the weird gravity here in the void. What an asshole on whoever made this! Oh well...
