Fiona I kept pleading to my wolf halfway to a devastating fall but she didn’t listen to me and I couldn’t shift. The earth's gravity pulled me to my death faster than I had imagined as I fell facing the sky, the moon’s reflection dancing in my eyes and I wondered if it would be my last view. My back lurched with the terrifying sense of freefall before my body landed with a sickening thud into what seemed like a huge pile of dirt. Sharp pain coursed through my body like a bolt of lightning and I felt my wrist snap, my arm twisted underneath me.

Stephanie nearly lost her balance when she didn’t connect with anything, but Amelia gave her a chance to regain it before making her first move. Amelia watched Stephanie closely. Stephanie had a way of ‘announcing’ every move she was going to make before actually making it, her body language gave her away. I sniggered. " Yeah, you should hurry. But aren't you forgetting something?" I said and brought out the keys. They both stared at me. I threw it out the window, and it fell into the fountain. Darren and Natalie gasped. " Oops, dropped it. How are we going to save dear Mira?" I said, focusing on my nails. " Remind me to kill you when I get back. In the meantime, I've got a friend to save." They rushed out, and I chuckled. Then stopped. Okay... Time to get out of here. There's no way I'm waiting for them to come back.

"I just wanted you to have a good day. You know I love you." Vanessa looked up again, doe-eyed. "I know." And Vanessa felt warm with regrets. Amber was right; she shouldn't have left. "I love you too." Amber hesitated for a bit, then leaned forward and held Vanessa's hand. She stared directly at Vanessa's eyes; her lips seemed to be quivering. A new look came upon Amber, akin to fear. "I—I don't think you understand. I. Love. You, Vanessa." Vanessa's lips parted slowly as realization consumed her. "Oh... I—”

Is just a game daisy; you can do this." I assured myself. " Okay am in." I voiced out "Hey! What's your name? A boy asked the girl standing. " Call me Tala." She said and tore a piece of paper from a book on the table. So am going to give a brief summary on how the game is. The rules are, you will pay a certain amount to any question you fail to answer. Or play a dare if you don't have the money." She said and i felt scared about the whole thing. Oh heavens!

Her grit and determination are sexy as hell. Fallon reaches the platform, grabbing ahold of one of the boards to swing herself up. As she does, one of the recruits that was tailing her closes in and snatches her other patch off of her shoulder just as she swings onto the platform. As he staggers back and falls, she wheels to Summer, the other flag guard, and knees her in the stomach so hard that it knocks the wind out of the poor girl.

I just finished reading the last book when I started to write Descent for real! The title when this was still a draft was actually ‘Can’t Help Falling (In Love With You)’ because I was listening to the same song only the dark version at the time. But I got annoyed because I felt it was too freaking long to be a title. For a time, I settled calling the story "Fall from Grace" in my head but it still felt wrong... so when I searched for a synonym, the meaning of the word descent.. clicked; it feels like it perfectly sums up the entire plot.

He continued to pull me further away from the hospital until we found a small park just close by. There was a blanket spread out over the grass under a huge tree with a bag on it. "Surprise," he said, "I know it's not much but I can't exactly take you anywhere far from the hospital considering your condition," he said sheepishly as we both sat down. "It's still perfect," I answered. "I really missed the Sun," I smiled. "Anything is seriously better than being stuck in that hospital room." Nick chuckled, "I thought you'd say something like that. Hence I made it even perfect by getting you this," he said and removed the whole Fallen boxset from the bag.
