I swallowed the heat rising in my throat and lifted my chin, meeting his eyes with a hard glare. “Good evening, Uncle!” Chewing the word ‘uncle,’ I continued. “Thanks for your concern. But Grandpa has cancelled the gatherings for my recovery.” I expected that stern response would knock some sense into Henry’s head. But his mean smirk deepened, the kind of smile that made my skin crawl. “Recovery? Is this the reason?” He dragged out the word, letting it twist in the air between us. “Poor thing. You must have had quite a rough night to need this much rest.”

Clara moaned softly after Arthur's finger brushed past her scalp, making her tensed body relaxed. “ You know so much about them, uncle, do you think it will work?” She asked as Arthur's hand stopped moving, making her open her eyes, “ what's wrong?” She asked, seeing his face all stoic. “ The next time you call me uncle again, I'll fuck you till you forget how to speak,” he threatened making her burst out laughing for his childishness
