I gently slid the dowel into the hole in the middle of the wolf head, and another wolf head suddenly lit up on top of the fifth box. All five boxes magically rose up into the air and glowed brightly for a few minutes. As the glow faded out, the boxes became one, and the resulting box landed back on the podium. “Uhh, that isn't something you see every day,” Gregory said, turning to me. “After the things I've seen in your mansion, nothing creeps me out anymore,” I replied. I walked over to the box and was about to pull the lid open when the entire room started to shake. The ground and walls vibrated vigorously, and I quickly grabbed the box so the contents wouldn't spill.

Adnan was surprised, when I went up there after Mizu had entered the plasterboard. "Just checking." I said, then I continued my mission. I'm curious, I'm really curious about what Mizu is doing there. I secretly got into the plasterboard, and what the fuck? I feel no gravity here... I'm flying in this empty space. I could see Mizu pushing herself into the roof, then she let go of one of the tiles. Is this real, what's with all this? I closed my eyes. And when I opened my eyes, suddenly I was on the floor, far away. No more gravity, or anything floating in the air. Everything is back to normal.

replied Yusra as she, too, leaped down… “...She’s right! Even if I were to lose my life, it’s too late to back down!” Following that declaration, everyone began leaping down as well… Moving back to Gerald, despite being the first to leap down, he had yet to reach the bottom. In fact, it almost seemed like the pit was bottomless, and Gerald only felt himself falling faster and faster by the second...! Before Gidheon can press the button, a sleek brown wolf, my sister Maggie leaps from the high roof above, her jaws clamping down on his wrist with a ferocious snap. The unexpected, airborne assault catches the elder completely off guard, breaking his concentration and shattering his triumphant monologue into a sudden, shrill shriek of pain. The detonator slips from his bloody fingers, falling through the air and landing on a canvas canopy below, which softens the impact and prevents the explosion.

A column cracked, falling sideways in slow motion, horizontal for a second before gravity caught it and slammed it down—creating a narrow bridge between two sections of floor. “This is wrong,” I gasped, grabbing at Corvin’s sleeve to keep my balance as the hallway twisted. “It’s like the castle is… glitching.” “It’s not glitching,” he said. “It’s playing.” A section of floor dropped out ahead of us. Corvin hauled me back at the last second; my toes slipped on the crumbling edge. Below, nothing. Not even fog. Just void. The Lord of the Castle watched us with delighted interest, like a kid shaking an ant farm.

“Stride, darling. Like you own the floor, like every wolf in the room should thank the Moon Goddess you even stepped inside.” I tried. I really did. But on the second step, the book flew off, I tripped, and face-planted into Gregor’s chest. “Comfortable?” he asked, not even flinching as I dangled like a ragdoll. I shoved away, mortified. “I was testing gravity. It works, thanks.” Sugar was dying of laughter. “Margaux never would’ve admitted that. She’d say, ‘The floor just kissed me because it couldn’t resist.’ Try that!”

-HER- As I continued to fall and fall into the pitch-black hole, I yelled at the top of my lungs. The strange thing was that my scream did not resound. I don't remember how long I fell, but it seemed like an eternity. As gravity seized me, I had my eyes tightly clenched and the wind was rushing past my ears. I had given up shouting because it didn't seem to help. However, at one point I felt someone restraining me and the wind stopped swooshing past my ears. I understood the fall had been broken, but how?

Miguel felt squashed by the force and fell from the sky, slamming into the rubble below him. James descended from the sky and steadily landed on a rock. An old man covered in blood crawled out from the rubble before him. It was Miguel. Sacrilegious Ascension was indeed formidable. James could crush all his opponents with the power of heaven and earth. Although Miguel was at the Immortal Ascension’s Third Stair, he could not resist the force and sustained injuries.

Koa continued and then sunk her teeth into the guys left shoulder. He screamed like a little girl in pain. His buddy, who was still in Maggie’s grasp was struggling to get free to help his friend. “Oh sorry. Almost forgot you were there.” Maggie joked. “Put me down!” He choked out. “As you wish.” Maggie said then just dropped him from where she was holding him. It had to of been at least every bit of forty feet plus high. The guy landed with a sickly crunch on the ground and screamed out in pain grabbing at both legs.

He fell backward, his hands desperately grabbing the bottom rung of the iron ladder just as the *Mammoth* surged forward. His shoulder wrenched painfully. Below him, the massive, spiked treads chewed through the frozen earth, churning up mud, snow, and the remnants of crushed tents. If he let go, he would be pulled under the tracks and ground into paste. *Let me help,* the Voice purred from the dark vault in his mind. *Just a little lift. A whisper of gravity...* *No,* Tristan snarled internally. He gritted his teeth, his human muscles screaming under the strain of his own body weight. *I pull my own weight.*
