Greek Myth Dionysus Novels & Stories

Just as Alexa were trying to control her tears, a chilling presence approached them. It was none other than Dionysus, or Dio as he liked to be called, the cousin of Jean and Gilbert. Dio, even in his edwardian era dark blue 'costume' was still a striking figure, with piercing green eyes and white hair still untied wildly, made him look like a vampire. Alexa never loses an awe seeing his facial feature almost mirrored Gilbert's. His usually icy demeanor had a strange warmth when it came to Alexa. They had met earlier in the night of the bloody Reverie Dinner party and had quickly formed an unlikely friendship.

But that was intriguing enough, he didn't understand and wondered how that could be possible. "It is not uncommon to notice or list gods and historical personalities who enjoyed the ambiguous physical form, or the facility to transit between the feminine and masculine self when necessary, proof of this are the strong presence of many of them in mythology for usufructs that were not only related to sex. Even if this fact was providential in most of these. One of the companions of Hermaphroditus, and this is implicitly exposed without much detail, was Dionysus, considered patron god of hermaphrodites and transvestites, son of Zeus with Semele in one of the perfidies of the god. Heartly pried. I shook my head, "No, not junior. But something that would resemble Dion's name. I was thinking of naming him if he is a baby boy as Bacchus since Bacchus is Dionysus's name in Roman mythology. Remember, Dionysus is the god of wine in Greek mythology? But the name Bacchus was a bit off, so, I am thinking of something." Caroline nodded in agreement and commented, "Yea. Bacchus sounds off but wait! Have you noticed? Gin is actually a kind of liquor and that name has something to do with the name Dionysus!"

He looked like he was having a hard time reminiscing about its history. Aphrodite came to the rescue, "Right! Most of us have been friends since then. We grew up in slums, doing different jobs in order to survive and fulfill the needs of our rumbling stomachs. Me, being the face of cybersex, Dionysus... who used to rob the general's main house, Hermes and Ares as the known thieves in town, and then there's Zeus who abducted people for ransom... Athena who was once a stripper, Apollo as a drug addict..." My widening eyes went to Apollo. He smiled as he waved at me. "And Poseidon... the sex slave." What...

Master made sure I was well versed in literature, poetry, music, arts and dance. Master kept me indoors until I was thirteen years old, before he began hosting concerts and big dinner parties where he charged royals and demanded gold coins and expensive jewellery for them to catch a glimpse of me. I was not allowed to converse with any person and to be honest, I do not believe that I can because when I enter a place, everyone hushes and mumbles my name of Aphrodite. That is the name my master has given me, Aphrodite. One of my teacher's told me about Aphrodite and how she was the Greek Goddess of love and beauty. My teacher went on to tell me, I got the name Aphrodite because my beauty surpa

I shake my head at him silently and brush my fingers against the side of my neck, signaling to Marco that I need him to step in. Originally, I thought Dionysus was working for Zeus, but if Katherine was really the one who asked him to be at the event, does Zeus even know Dionysus is here? I don’t need to question it. From the smell of the contents, if I drink whatever's in that glass, I’m going to die. You would think the God of Wine and Ecstacy would do a better job of hiding poison in his own creation.

"Hi." Zoey almost caught her breath in astonishment. Dionysus in a white shirt is also considered a deadly sin for her eyes. Her husband always looked so heavenly good in corporate suits, but he can also absolutely rock any kind of shirt and casual clothes. Heck, Dionysus could wear a mere pauper's attire and still look like the enthralling Greek God of ecstasy that he actually is. "Hi." Zoey breathily responded, suddenly remembering Dionysus' heartfelt confessions to her hours ago. "Should we go now? I want to show you around the town. There's so many wonderful things to see here in the countryside."
