Conrod rolled the loaded cart over to the small tables. One of the books lay with its worn cover on the surface of the mahogany table. A small table lamp gently illuminated the brown cover, the embossed letters outlined in small shadows. "Encyclopedia of the Mythology of the World." Conrod opened a page with the heading "Beliefs of the Ancient Slavs." His eyes darted over the letters, putting words together and squeezing information out of them. He carefully read:

"Zeke! You're going too far." "But still! Let me just go with you. I promise not to disturb you." He said. I just shook my head as I went inside the library after saying ' goodbye ' to them. I feel Zeke following me in librarian table and sign into a log book as I did. I roam around the bookshelves and find something interesting to read. Alessia's POV I have read the book. It was a typical old storybook that sounded very English and Greek. I cringe a little because what I'm reading sounds like Julius Caesar. It talks about Greek gods, especially Poseidon since Homer's journey travels the seas. I feel like I'm getting a headache reading it because it's a story but the writing is poetic. But I understand because the ancient people were poets. I am too used to reading normal English novels. I just focused my attention on the book because there was nothing else to read there besides this. Even though I'm not used to reading like this, I'm just patient because it makes me sleepy.

As I spin I stifle a scream. Making its way through the trees is something truly out of a myth. From top to bottom it is a mish-mash of creatures. Its twin heads are that of both a goat and a lion. The heads join at the shoulders to the body of a lion, all ending in a tail with a serpent's head. Growing up I was always interested in mythology. The name of the creature easily came to mind; Chimera. I try to back away slowly, hoping it hasn’t yet noticed me.But as per my usual clumsy self, I end up tripping over my own feet.
