She was giving me a look that tells she was more than happy to kill me than to see me. By how much intensity she was glaring murderously at me I would be 60 ft under the ground, if looks could kill. From the corner of my eyes I saw Alpha James's son, Ryden giving my mate a dreamily look. My wolf growled at that in my head. I never felt jealous over any woman but for hef I felt an intense jealousy.My mate gave a sideways look to him as if thinking three thousand ways to kill him at the spot. He grins, turning onto his back and pulling me closer by grabbing my wrist. “Think whatever you want; I don’t care,” I respond, averting my eyes, though deep down, I admit the pang of jealousy within me. Suddenly, he positions me beneath him, pinning my hands against the soft mattress and fixing his intense gaze on me. His gaze takes my breath away. “You can’t hide your jealousy, Mrs. Grey.” He whispers in a husky tone, brushing his lips against mine, his warm breath sending shivers down my spine. All I want from him is to kiss me.

"In case you hadn't noticed," I said, closing the gap between us, "I'm not your typical girl. And this whole jealousy crap you're pulling isn’t going to fly with me. My words were edged with defiance, though my heart thumped painfully in my chest. He didn’t respond immediately. Japhet’s eyes, still illuminated in that strange green light, locked onto mine with a gaze so intense it made my knees weak. I could see every flicker of emotion—annoyance, disbelief, jealousy, and a hint of vulnerability—swirling behind his cold mask. For a second, he was breathtaking, like a golden halo radiating behind him, untouchable and divine.

Stay in my room like a prisoner?” I asked haughtily, raising one of my eyebrows at her. I can’t deny she had gorgeous green eyes. It's hard not to let the green-eyed monster consume me, even though I know this is all part of the greater plan we've meticulously crafted. Deep down, I'm grateful that our plan is working, and that Julie is on the verge of confessing her treachery. But it doesn't extinguish the burning jealousy that simmers within me.
