My fury propels me down the stairs, around the building, and into my truck.
I reverse sharply out of the parking spot, maneuver through the lot, and merge into the traffic with a determination that burns hotter than my wound.
By the time I reach the council chambers, twenty wasted minutes have already fed my temper while I searched for a place to park. I slam the gear into park, snatch my bag, and storm toward the entrance. The heavy door nearly rips off its hinges when I yank it open, and I shove past the security checkpoint. Guards rush toward me, but whether it is the fury radiating from me or the sight of my blood dripping steadily, I cannot say. One feral growl from me unleashes my aura
