They weren't the kind of green that was dark, mixed or changed with the light, it was a vivid green. A bright hue of green that was so mesmerising it was intoxicating just looking into them. The tiny seed unfolded slightly. A faint shoot emerged. Not silver. Not gold. Not blue. Green. The first true green Ama had ever seen. The color of growing things. The color of futures. I leaned in, curious. “Green?” I asked, raising an eyebrow. “Why green?” Emily laughed softly, her fingers brushing over the sample. “Green is calming. It’s soothing, like the color of trees and grass. It’s natural, peaceful. I think it’ll be perfect for the baby. Don’t you think?”

I say, letting my eyes scan over all the purple in the room. She looks down at her wet nails. “I’ve gotta mix things up sometimes,” she says. “I’m thinking of redoing everything in green, actually.” She winks at me. “I’m manifesting.” “Let me know if that works,” I say. I imagine my dad in his prison cell and the amount of green it will take to get him out. “Oh, honey,” she says. “It already has. That’s the secret. Raise your vibration by knowing that it’s already here.”

The air felt lighter. Marcy held up a dress. The fabric was the color of moss after a rainstorm. "Look, Kia. This shade brings out your skin tone. It’s perfect for the reception." I touched the cloth. It felt cool, grounding. An idea flickered in my mind, then caught fire. "Wait. What if we didn't just pick colors for the reception? What if we made the whole wedding... green? " My brows arched in a frown. "And then they had their first child together, Green. The name Green wasn't just a random name they gave to your mate. It was because she was unique. She was different from the other vampires. Her Vampire eyes were green instead of the usual reddish black, she had other powers that only ancient royal vampires of our clan had. She could grow wings, shape shift, compel, curse and occasionally change the color of her hair at will." She chuckled for a brief moment.

I was too absent minded to listen to their introductions. "Green is timeless, bold and very beautiful..." Just like my Eve. "It is the perfect color because it compliments every other color right there, it flatters almost all skin tones and would stand out when pictures are taken. Pretty sure, it would pop beautifully with the runway lighting. Lastly, green is associated with wealth, luxury, elegance..." And it reminds me of someone very close to my heart. I didn't add this part though... They would all think it was the reason I chose green which was the main reason anyways. "Ohh, you just literally changed my mind, Mr Gray." One said with a chuckle.

But after a pause, she finally smiles and says, “Okay, why not?” With that, we work on everything for the next three hours. The ideas that come out of me once I feel more relaxed with Grace just keep coming, until we settle on one thing—the color yellow. Citrine, gold, yellow diamonds. Yellow packaging instead of my usual emerald green. It just all started coming together. “Think about it,” Grace says. “We can call it some kind of… ripening. A bloom. From green to yellow this summer.” “I like it!” I say. “Summer bloom. Summer glow. I’m sure it can be more official than that, but this is an amazing start! You really saved my life, Grace.”
