His hips ground against mine as he whispered my name over and over, a mantra only he knew this intimately. Vetur flared, energy zinging through me. My power was back. It reached for him and his fire answered. In a daze, I watched as they mingled and became one. Pure white and glacial blue intertwined with burning red, vibrant yellow, and glowing orange. It was majestic. My Vetur and his fire.

I gestured to our slumbering sisters. Gia’s honey brown eyes swirled and changed to emerald green, a sign that her power was slipping. It happens a lot when she’s frustrated. Her long red hair falling in curls to her waist, the green of her peasant dress making her eyes stand out sharply. Taking deep breaths, she gained her composure, her eyes returning to their honey brown color. Like all pixies, she had wing tattoos on her back; hers were vivid, shades of greens, pinks and browns, the colours of the earth element she controlled.

I say, almost to myself. “The color of the earth, where my strength comes from.” He says. “Find the layer of yellow within the green.” I feel like I’m in the green layer of a rainbow, searching for the next color. Roy G Biv. I remember hearing that mnemonic somewhere for the colors of the rainbow. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. In that color scheme, yellow is right next to green. I push my aura in one direction, and the green starts to feel darker, so I move and begin letting it flow to where the green starts to feel lighter until I’m surrounded by yellow. “I found it.” I say, opening my eyes. Ailduin is watching me intently.

’ 'Wow, wait, can I call you Amy, Amethyst is too long,' Amethyst replied, chuckling, 'Yeah, and I will call you Mel as well. 'Our abilities need to grow and develop, which is why it arrived on your 13th birthday.’ 'Okay, I noticed that I see colors around people; what power is that?'I inquired. 'That is aura detection, you can see and detect people's emotions and auras,' Amy replied. 'What do the different colors mean?' I inquired impatiently. Amy laughed, 'blue represents love, pink represents happiness or joy, orange represents fear or apprehension, green represents lies or deception, red represents anger or disgust, and black represents danger or evil.’

It was a peculiar sight to see three glass vials with three different liquids inside. The middle one was red and two external ones were green and blue. They looked so cheerful like the paints used by children to make a nice picture. But in reality, each of them was an ingredient of a mixture capable of changing people beyond recognition. The trick with those elements was that, separately, each of them had a different property. “The green one could erase your short-distant memory, the blue deprives you of any love for anyone and anything - it can make your life utterly unbearable to live. The red one in turn provokes hatred towards someone whose body touched you first after drinking it.”

“Take it.” Christian’s lips curled into a victorious smile. He turned to Luna, who beamed up at him with adoration, her hand still resting on her belly. The room erupted in cheers, congratulations once again directed toward Christian and Luna. The room that had once been decorated for Violet’s celebration now seemed to belong entirely to her sister.
