And I just stood still and stared at the greenhouse. It looked like a mini forest. I had walked around it, trying to decide where I would start from. And then I had come around something that made me pause and stare and stare for what felt like hours. A large patch of soil looked dull and grayish, no growth in that place because it looked like… heat sterilized the ground. And I knew. I immediately knew. I slowly looked up at the glass wall to see soot stains creeping up the glass and metal frames, like gray-black fingers. The glasses were also clouded and cracked from heat stress.

The greenhouse was roughly the size of the garage, and each of the intact glass panels were smeared in dirt from the inside. No time like the present. Rattling the door, he was frustrated when it wouldn't budge. Crouching for a better look, he saw that a key was needed.
