After my little brother, Cochran Ceberano, dies in a car crash, my parents hand the toy poodle he raised over to me. But I haul the dog to an unlicensed, back-alley animal clinic right away and have him neutered. Why? Because I've been reborn. In my previous life, on the day the dog arrives at our house, he suddenly turns vicious, scratching and biting me at every turn. Afraid of upsetting my parents, I bend over backward to win him over. I feed him the best dog food, and I even sleep next to him on the couch. But he only gets worse. Day by day, my sanity crumbles. Insomnia sets in, followed by auditory hallucinations. I even start dreaming that he's chasing me down and tearing me apart

A void replaced the pain, but it left a hollow ache. Years passed. I lived as a reaper. Cold. Efficient. Detached. I watched lives end and guided souls to their fates. One gloomy afternoon, I saw my mother's name written in the Death Note. I didn’t flinch.No fear. No sadness. Nothing.... Maybe it’s because I’m no longer human— Just a cold-blooded shell of what I used to be. I reaped my mother’s soul with steady hands. No tears, no hesitation. When it was done, I packed my things and left for Germany— an order from Thanatos.

This reminds me of the scene back when I turned 18, but somehow this seems a lot more… gruesome. I hear it before I see it and manage to move out of the way of its large paw. “What the fuck is that?!” Kon cries out with wide eyes, but I had no fucking clue this time. The beast looks like a rottweiler but is as large as a fucking grizzly bear, and right now, it has its blood-red eyes trained on me. What the fuck is happening here? Where is Caterina? Movement out of the corner of my eye gets my attention, and I see Fenriz’s Lycan beast jump behind this massive dog and grab it in a chokehold.

I just stand awkwardly, trying not to fidget, and move a tiny inch towards the sitting room while never letting my eyes trail away from those two beacons of intensity he has going on. He reminds me of someone equally terrifying. The soulless pale grey eyes of Alexi, on an animal. It’s weird and yet somehow comforting and I can see what drew him to this animal if it is even his. That eerie pair of devil eyes, lacking warmth and colour. “Lync. Here.” One of the men reappears quickly, having checked a nearby room behind a heavy wooden door I’m only drawn to when I hear him close it. He calls to it as he walks back to me and it bursts into a run, tail lifting to wag as it heads for Reynold. One

Chapter nine. We jerk away as soon as the hungry-looking creature leap from the Van. It's strange seeing an infected animal, so fierce and brutal. The four feet hairy dog with scars all over its body steps forward, its left eye is missing while the right bloodshot eyes stared at me in rage. Its teeth appear to be disorderly arranged, but looks sharp and deadly. The devilish giant Pitbull growls angrily like it's about to tear something apart, with its sticky liquid dropping from its mouth. I raise my gun slowly then it leans backwards, and slightly bending its thin legs, ready to charge.

With every growl, the hound's lips curled back, and out its mouth came to a trail of smoke. I felt my eyes shift from their normal chocolate brown color to purple as Rieka stepped forward. She left me in control but if I needed her help, she was ready to fight. The hound caught a glimpse of the switch and paused. His growling stalled, his lips falling and covering his jagged teeth. He bowed his head to me with a whine crawling up his throat and then pounced on me, tackling me to the ground with a heavy thud.

Acting just like a dog, he shakes his head and upper body hard. A huge wave of dirty, muddy water flies off his hair and splashes right onto my clean pajamas. I slowly lower the showerhead. A very scary, totally killer smile spreads across my face. I drop the hose, grab Fenris by his furry ears, and roughly drag his huge body up from the floor. "Get out!" I hiss, holding him super tight. "Out! I don't need a stupid, bad dog in my house!" Fenris yelps in pain. Even with his scary strength, my Reaper power completely holds him down. I drag the naked, wet werewolf out of the bathroom, through the living room, and pull the front door open, pushing him toward the hallway.

"Hey boy! I heard him say before I heard the footsteps of a dog. My curiosity got the better of me so I peeped and saw a big black doberman, circling Ryker's leg. The dog must have sensed me, so he looked up and barked. Ryker bent down and ran his hand through his fur. He told him to sit and it did. "Come in, Grumps." Ryker said. I slowly walked into the apartment, watching the dog's reaction. Even though Ryker held his collar, I was still scared. I don't ever wanna get bitten by a dog, that was one of my biggest fears. Bruno tilted his head as he watched me, then he started to wag his tail. I think dogs do that when they're happy, right?

Gradually, countless of the robotic dogs around them disappeared without a trace. At this moment, the Four Living Reapers finally noticed the commotion. "No! My babies!" Martha ran over, seeing the bodies of countless dogs floating in the pond. Her eyes were filled with murderous intent. "You killed my babies! I'll take your lives for this!"

He looked me in the eyes not wavering and I could see for his facial expression, everything he said was the truth. I gasped, my wolf dog, the black as night bright as silver dog from my safe space, “You, you are my wolf dog?” I asked curiously…. “Yes, that is Reap. He has been able to sense you since we were both little we are blood related and he could feel when you were sad, or being hurt. He knew that you would find us near the sacred waterfall if we were patient enough.” “As soon as Reap first felt you, he told me of your life, I would have never known anything about you if it wasent for him.” He said sadly, as he fidgeted in his seat.
