Chapter 99 Grim carried his burden of shame and disappointment as he trudged back home. His last string of hope had been snipped off. He had lost the orb, and he had lost his wife. In the next two days, he was about to lose his pack as well. There was nothing else he could lose—except for his life, of course. The pains from the attack were biting him from all angles, but he wasn't concerned in the slightest. There was a greater pain that muffled the itching and bleeding.

Taking their guns, they tossed them in a pile. “Get all the treasure!” Xavier commanded. Three of them moved into wreckage and started shifting through it as if they knew exactly there it ended up at. “This is how this is going to go ...” Grim started. It was almost like he paused, wanting a dramatic effect. “… everyone here will die.” All the women and children started hysterically crying. “Don’t touch them!” I growled as Grim slapped a woman. He spun around and smiled at me. “Oh? Why is that?”

The stones spray like shrapnel. And suddenly … stillness. He doesn’t move. Not a twitch. Not a breath. It’s a miracle — a goddamn miracle — that he only broke his collarbone. The Reaper is hurled sideways like a grenade. Sparks explode as it slams the ground, tumbling end over end. Pieces sheer off, clattering across the track. The fairings peel away. The engine casing scrapes and howls like a dying animal. Graham comes in. Too fast. Too hot into the corner. He never turns and speeds straight into the gravel.

Chapter 45 Lucien Thorne ~•~ My breath caught in my throat. “Grimm, what do you mean?” I asked, taking a few steps closer to him. “What happened? And what does it have to do with Halle?” He groaned. “Don’t ask me dumb questions, Lucien. Just take that girl back to her pack.” He replied, his voice laced with disdain. “You know damn well she can’t go back there.” Grimm scoffed, holding on to his ribs. “That’s not our problem!” He snapped. “Ever since you brought her here, it’s been one problem or the other!”

Now Frank needed to find a time when he could snatch her back. While he was brooding over this, he got a phone call that one of the twilight wolves was poking about at the library and another was poking around at the Black Hole Café. That meant one was close to the documents he didn’t want them finding currently, and another was trespassing on Vagas Moon Pack territory. Both issues he could use. So he ordered his men to deal with them. Get them out of there and if they could rough them up, then do so.

As the ground was becoming disoriented, the sky had a similar fate. “HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAA.” They could hear the maniacally laugh resonating throughout the sky and land. “Crazy.” Maxim looked up at the crazy man a few meters above him. The collision between them sent Maxim and a few of his people almost to the ground. They survived but the impact could be seen and felt all over their bodies. Maxim had to spit the dark blood out of his mouth. A few unlucky griffins were thrown flat to the ground and unable to recover fast enough. And before they stood up, the enemies gathered around them as the ants gathered around their food.

Those they were looking at were not truly in the spring solidifying realm yet, but they were close. Thinking of this, Fane frowned, his expression a little dark. Just as he was thinking of how he would deal with the eight-tailed demonic snake… Graham shouted loudly, "Don't think those little tricks of yours are enough to help you pass. I didn't fall for them!"

Gazing at the two blood-drenched hearts placed side by side before her, she smiled slowly. "Sebastian, we're back together again. I promise to realize my true feelings for you sooner in our next life, so just wait for me, okay?" Due to the severity of the incident, most of the information on it was suppressed. By the time I learned of it, a year had already passed. Although the photo had been censored, there was no denying that it was still a gory sight. "Get rid of it." With that, I got up to attend an executive meeting.
