Just as she rounded the corner, her fingers ghosting over the vial again, Draven spoke without turning.
“I was wondering how long they’d wait before sending you, Eden Blake.”
Her hand froze mid-reach. Her name hadn’t been spoken aloud here. Her identity hadn’t even been in the system. Her disguise was flawless.
And still, he knew.
Draven turned, revealing a sharp grin and eyes like winter glass. “Relax. I’m not here to hurt you. In fact, I came to help.”
“I’ve heard that one before,” Eden said coldly, stepping forward.
