Almost a hundred dollars. I nodded “Thanks, boss. See you tomorrow.” I hung up my hat and apron. Before leaving I made sure to scan the area for the crazy, creepy woman. Gladly, there was no sign of her. Just a couple of people by the boardwalk and the pier. The place was already sparkling with twinkling lights and street lamps. Seemed safe.

Its calm, cold light concentrated over the palace, dispersing the dark gravity slowly. The palace stopped atomising, but it had already been reduced to ruins. His heartbeat thundered in his chest, the darkness closing in like a suffocating weight. Then, suddenly, a bright light began to glow in the distance, piercing the blackness. It grew steadily, illuminating the void around him. Luca’s mind raced back to the priest’s warning: When you see her light, bow down. Without a second thought, Luca fell to his knees, his head bowed low. The light was blinding, almost too bright to endure, but he kept his gaze down, refusing to look directly at it. The priest’s words echoed in his mind, reminding him of the importance of respect, of reverence.

My eyes widened when I saw a knife behind on him. “Wait, is that a sword? A real sword? Wow, I just saw something like that,” I said and tried to touch it, but Grant quickly tapped my hand, but there was still a small wound. Is that sword so sharp? “Look at what you did. Eliana turned sharply. One of the glowing silver symbols on the giant door shattered. A cold wave of air burst through the chamber instantly. The lantern flames died. Darkness swallowed the room. For one terrifying moment, the only thing Eliana could hear was breathing. Not hers, but something else’s. It was slow and heavy. Her chest tightened so hard it hurt. “Stay behind me,” her spirit guide ordered. The seriousness in his voice terrified her more than the darkness itself. A pale glow suddenly appeared around him, faint silver light spreading across his body. Symbols formed beneath his feet, glowing against the stone floor like ancient writing coming alive.

Teach me how to guide without losing them… without losing myself.” The Moon Goddess extended her hand, silver threads of light curling outward, weaving through the shadows, illuminating paths that were previously invisible. “Listen.
