Then, as the older girl is yelling, a man in a bathrobe comes running out of the apartment next door, calling out his apologies for his daughter scaring me. The first thing I see is a set of perfect abs, and I have a hard time pulling away from the sight. Wow, what a handsome set of abs. My eyes move up from the abs to the eyes of the tall, tanned man. He looks incredibly relaxed and handsome as he stands in front of me, but it takes me about five seconds longer than it should to put it together. I can’t help but gulp as I set down the girl in my arms. My boss…he’s my neighbor?!

Looked like I had a new neighbor. I shrugged and went back to making my sad little breakfast. I was just about to sit down and eat when there was a knock on the door. I hesitated for a moment, wondering if I should answer it. But curiosity got the better of me, and I opened the door to find a tall, handsome man standing in the hallway. "Hi, I'm Eddie," he said, extending his hand. "I just moved in next door. I thought I'd come over and introduce myself."

Serena uttered remembering her main problem, when the man dimple smiled at her. "I got you, just tell me your flat number, I will order it for you!" He suggested. "275 it is!" She spoke as the man nodded while taking care of it in minutes, using his cellphone. "By the way, where do you live?" Serena asked smiling while the polite neighbour pointed the doorway next to her. "I guess I am your next door neighbour now. See you around, Miss, Kevin is the name!" He uttered but before Serena could have introduced herself back too, that unknown man's door opened revealing someone unexpected...

“There’s many of us who wouldn’t disagree.” Adrienne rolled her eyes and groaned. She wanted to tell her friends about her new next-door neighbor. But after hearing how obsessed they were with him, she decided not to inform them. At least not yet. She knew the minute she told them, they would have a stakeout in her apartment. Not that she minded having them over. She didn’t want Justin Adams to realize that his neighbor and her friends watched him in his own private refuge like he was a goldfish in a fish tank.

“Good morning sunshine”. I greeted myself, it’s Monday and it’s going to be a long day. I start my morning routine and headed to the office to prepare for my meeting. At the elevator “Wait”. I heard someone shout when the elevator going to close so I hold the open button to wait for the person. “Sorry, thank you for holding it up”. The person said that I’m not familiar with it. He step inside and another person showed up, it surprised me a little it was my hot neighbor, Isaac.

As they peered through their windows, some of the neighbors bounced on their toes and craned their necks to catch a glimpse of the new residents. Excitement built as rumors spread among the neighbors. "It looks like someone has finally bought that house!" they whisper to each other. One of the neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. Bansal, a couple in their mid-50s, can't contain their curiosity any longer and decide to go meet the new family. They walk through the gate and find the owner of the new house instructing the movers on where to place the furniture. Mr. Bansal greets the owner cheerfully, saying "Good morning".

The man’s forehead creased – but it didn’t even lessen his appeal. “I don’t eat something from a stranger.” He coldly replied. Leila couldn’t help but smile at him. “I’m your new neighbor. I’m Leila. Now, we’re not strangers anymore.” She swiftly introduced herself and pointed at her bungalow house before raising her hand for a handshake. The man just stared at her like he was trying to solve a puzzle. Then, his expression darkened. All of a sudden, Leila felt the hair at her nape stand up. Her smile turned sour as she put her hand down with her lips slightly pouted. But her optimistic side was getting out of her control. She instantly got one of the plastic containers where her cookies were

To stop myself from thinking about him, I put on my headphones and lay on the bed to sleep. Listening to Billie Eilish had always been my therapy. Her songs were like sleeping pills. Waking up a few hours later, I realized it was evening already. I went downstairs and met my mom cooking in the kitchen. “Where’s Dad?” I asked, grabbing an apple from the fridge. “He had a patient to attend to. He won’t be back until tomorrow.” I nodded, sitting on a stool inside the cabinet area. “Our new neighbors have already moved in. I saw them earlier. Susan seems friendly, and her son is so handsome,” she giggled.

I wondered. I walked slowly towards the window with my arms wrapped around me. I grabbed the window handles to pull them back to close it but I stopped midway when I noticed the lights next door. Who could that be? The house beside us was empty for over a year. I squinted and could actually see the inside of the room through the window adjoining mine. Like seriously, I could strangle the guy who constructed these houses like that. So damn close! Anyway, we finally got some new neighbours. What an odd time to move in though, I couldn't help but think. I just hope they would be nice. My parents could have some pals.

I barely noticed the sound of a car approaching, its engine cutting through the rain and my thoughts. “Amara?” a voice called, calm, gentle, laced with concern. I froze. The car slowed, its headlights catching the raindrops clinging to my eyelashes. Elijah. My next-door neighbor. Quiet, thoughtful, the kind of person who always noticed things without needing to be told. He leaned out of the window, rain running down his hair, and his gaze was fixed on me. “What are you doing out here? In this rain?” he asked, voice soft but steady.
