Gwendy's Final Task Novels & Stories

“Isn’t it rumored that High Chancellor Flint was the last person to have captured a boar?” Gwen shrugged at Mr. Howard. “Well, you closed the gate. What was I supposed to do? I got bored, so I kept myself busy… Then I remembered you said fifty points to whoever brought one in, so…” she glanced down at the animal. “Here!” I couldn’t help but shake my head. So, this was her plan. “She absolutely earned those points, Academic Master!” Kira called out from somewhere in the crowd. “Wow, Gwen! Nice job!”

Nonetheless, the result was not what Gwen expected. After lunch, they searched all the way from the restaurant to the lobby of the resort. Alas, they did not find it. After nearly an hour of searching, Gwen sat on the sofa in the lobby of the resort with disappointment. She looked at Yannie, who was squatting on the floor, trying to find the pendant. "You don't have to look anymore. Maybe…this is my fate." Fate wanted her to lose Luke's gifts one by one, slowly diminishing his existence from her life in the process.

I frowned and then brought the phone down from my ear, I looked at the number but there wasn’t a name. “Hell….” “Yes. I’m Henry Baldwin, is there anything I can help you with?” I asked. “Yes sir, actually Gwendolyn gave me your contact. She said I should call you if she doesn’t return in an hour,” the lady went on. “Hold on, who am I speaking with?” “Alice, her assistant. Miss Mars instructed me to call you if she doesn’t return in an hour,” I was confused. Return from where? Where did she go to?

He stuck his tongue out and pointed at it. “It’s the name your mother gave you, Gregory.” Caddie rolled her eyes and turned to face the Alpha who still had her eyes on the file. “You will be fine. We can deal with the less important stuff tomorrow. Let’s just go for the hunt now and come back and go through the plan.” Gwen took off the glasses and shrugged, “Do I have to come? It’s not like I can take part in the hunt.” Caddie and Greg looked at each other.

"Whoa!" The room exploded with applause, cheers, and whistles. Camera flashes went wild, capturing the moment. Behind me, two women in custom designer gowns whispered to each other, their voices just loud enough for me to hear. "Did you see that? That's Edward Charles Kingsley. The M&A genius. I heard some clueless woman chased after him for three years using her family trust fund and somehow managed to trap him." "Tsk, that has to be her, right? Margot from Stonebridge Capital? I heard she didn't even make it into Wharton. What is she doing on the same stage as Edward? Must have donated a library to get into this event."

She recognized that tone—the same tone he used before pulling a trigger. Roland wasn’t thinking clearly anymore. Vengeance had become oxygen to him. Still, she stepped back, nodding slowly. “Fine. We finish it. But we leave the second it’s done. I won’t die for Alex Spencer. I won’t go to prison for that bastard. The man is already cracking.” Roland smirked. “Then we don’t give him the chance to betray us. One clean job. Then we vanish.” Eva didn’t answer. She picked the wig back up, but her thoughts spun like a cyclone. Roland’s confidence terrified her more than any threat.

You did good, sweetheart. I grinned at Mom and shrugged. All in a night's work for a Hayle, I sent. I knew trouble was coming but didn't care. It floated down to our level in the form of Gwendolyn and Finlay, who managed to sneak past Pender and confront me. The young witch was still biting her lip. If she wasn't careful, she wouldn't have one left by the time the sun rose. "We've been instructed to escort you to our border." At least she wasn't going to call me on the blatant use of maji power I just performed. Still, her words rankled.

It took some time before life settled down. Luthias left Verso when his week of further convalescing was up, but not before making love to me one last time. It is a moment I will hold deep in my heart forever. Gwendoline and I got back to work focusing on developing my magical skills. My grandparents set to work on a spell to enable werewolf hybrids to enter Verso. Gwendoline was allowed to monitor their progress, but we felt her emotional attachment to the situation might impair their progress. She grudgingly stepped aside and allowed them the necessary magic freedom they required.

"You know, if you all leave me a copy of your keys, I can do your laundry that much faster and even deliver it to your rooms directly." "That won't be necessary." Gwen tosses her silver hair over her shoulder. "Now hurry up with the bathrooms and the kitchen. I don't want to have to come check on if you've finished or not when it's past midnight." Gwen and the other girls laugh, but I don't catch their joke. Until I can get that grimoire or get Gwen to let Ben and Kiarr go from that ghost trap contraption, I have no other choice. As I leave to go finish my tasks for the day, I pray that my men are okay. If this ends up hurting them or worse, then Gwen is going to know what pain and humiliati

And mint. "Goddess," I breathed. "He had the warriors bring it," Wendy stammered from behind me. "He ordered it before you even left." He knew. He knew what this test would do to me. He had the reward waiting before the punishment had even begun. The craftsman. The master. "Help me," I whispered, my voice finally breaking. "Yes, Miss! Yes!" Wendy was a flurry of motion. She didn't just help me. She handled me. Like I was a piece of shattered, priceless glass.
