Hail Mary Novels & Stories

"We've seen them too the things in the distance. Watching." Mary shuddered. "Demons, angels, I don't care what they are if they're walking here, we're already in Hell." No one argued and after dinner I helped Mary wash out a few canteens using filtered rainwater. She hummed quietly under her breath an old song, I thought, something about mercy and light. I believe I've heard it before but I couldn't remember where. "You've got fight in you," she said suddenly. I looked up. "What makes you say that?"

She flipped her blonde hair behind her shoulder. “Hail Mary, full of grace, the lord is with thee,” she began to pray desperately with rosary in hand. “Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.” Chasity made the crucifix over herself. There was a tapping at the window-paned front door. Who could that be at this hour on a weekday? she thought with confusion.

I tapped Rita, waking her up and we both stood up. "This is Rita and Makaila." Nigel introduced us. "Wait, So this is the famous Makaila, Christian won't stop talking about." Mrs Hales smirked. "That's right."Nigel smiled at me and I smiled at Christian's parents. "It's a pleasure to meet...." I stretched my hand for a shake, only to be pulled in to a bone crushing hug by Mrs Hales. Not what I was expecting...

Caitlin stared, confused. “The shield is the Holy Grail,” Mary explained. “And the Holy Grail is the Antidote.” “Antidote?” Caitlin asked. “Do you remember your father’s final words? He has granted you power and authority over all disease. And that includes the disease of life.” Caitlin wracked her brain, trying to understand.

Hail said and sat beside his body. They looked at him. Their faces are serious. "Geez... I have been looking for it since ages! Hail muttered and poked his own cheeks. "How did you get here?" Reyan asked him. Hail shrugged. "I have the goddess' power, right? More exactly – " he said. " – I am the goddess herself." He answered. "I am the key – " Reyan said. Hail cut him off as he shook his head. "No, no." he said, waving his hands. "You already admitted it earlier. You are a part of my consciousness." He said and looked at Reyan.

she answered with her eyes focused on the basket as if it was what she had been talking to. Mary had a voice that felt like warm milk. A voice someone would love to listen to while cuddled up on a chair with a blanket on a rainy day and it made Hazel feel happy and safe. After an eternity of rummaging through her basket, Mary brought out a couple of vials containing what Hazel guessed were medicines. The vials had tiny words written on them in beautiful calligraphy. Hazel focused all her attention on it as she tried to read what they said. "Where are you hurt?" She heard a comforting voice Mary asked.

And the other dark and broken. She did not have a rose in hand like the rest, She had sage surrounding lavenders . The sage he grew with her, and the lavender whose scent he loved. But those flowers did no longer give her happiness, Every part of her day reminded her of him. She wanted him to get up, to get back to her. But he did not. He was gone forever. "Rose" she turned around as she heard her mother voice, "Lord Edmund is here to pay his respect, go greet him for once" She shook her head. "Rose, for me" Rose hesitate but her mother grabbed her hand slowly and they walked into the castles towards the halls.
