Beneath Lagos Rain

Beneath Lagos Rain

The name struck Miriam like lightning. She whispered, "No..." Joseph stared at the ridge in horror. "He's real." Damian looked between them. "Who is the Auditor?" Miriam answered without taking her eyes off the hill. "When the Council suspects corruption..." "They send one man." "He investigates everyone." "He answers to no family." "No Chair." "No Council." Samuel's blood ran cold. "Not even the Builder?" Miriam slowly shook her head. "He audits them too." The voice laughed softly. "I'm pleased someone remembers."

Mr. CEO, I Was Forced To Marry You.

Mr. CEO, I Was Forced To Marry You.

Roxanne replied as her eyes beamed with pride. Yolanda and Heather visited her quite often while she was in the hospital and the trio had gotten closer. It was like they had known each other for years. A sigh of relief escaped Roxanne's lips. She might still be a long way from achieving her goal for the shopping mall, but they were slowly getting there. … Back at the Ford Corporation. “I’m forming an audit team to check the finance department for any discrepancies,” Henry announced while seated at the head of the long oak table in the conference room.

I wish you would update all your stories to audio option! I love to listen while driving and cleaning ect. And can get through them quicker so I tend to just skip through ones that don’t have audio skipping 10-15 chapters every 5 or so bc I can’t wait …

Roxanne and Henry’s story was indeed a beautiful love story. I was engrossed all through the series and I'm glad the evil characters got what they all deserved. Good riddance! Read this you'll love it.

Who's the One Regretting Now?

Who's the One Regretting Now?

Was it to taunt Edward since he could go, but the former couldn't? When the coffee break ended, Hank brought some paperwork to one of the project managers under the guise of discussing the afternoon's partnership agenda. In truth, he was probing for information. "Will Mr. Fowler be joining us this afternoon? If he is, we'll need to run these by him first."

Dear author, Please do not abandon this story; it is very interesting. Sharon needs to be captured and held accountable for her evil deeds just like Raymond. I do feel sorry for Edward knowing how repentant he is for his past ill treatment of Macie, but he has to bear the consequences.

So interesting! I hope Macie doesn’t end up with Edward, but with Sean. I think it subverts a lot of the BAD writing in a lot of stories like this— for example, his domestic abuse isn’t brushed aside, she calls the POLICE when his obsessive behavior escalates, etc. 9.5/10

Divorced on Our Wedding Night

Divorced on Our Wedding Night

The auditors arrived at 9:00 a.m. sharp. No fanfare. No drama. Just quiet authority and leather briefcases. Moore & Associates operated like a disciplined machine. Files prepared. Access granted. Transparency flawless. Helena stood at the head of the conference table as introductions were made. I stood beside her. Not behind. That detail mattered. One auditor, a silver-haired woman with sharp eyes, addressed me directly. “Ms. Cross, given the public speculation regarding your previous marriage, we will require additional disclosure documentation.”

THE ALPHA'S BILLIONAIRE ROGUE: HER TRIPLE REGRET

THE ALPHA'S BILLIONAIRE ROGUE: HER TRIPLE REGRET

He wasn't holding a cane; he was holding a simple, leather-bound ledger. "Mr. Vane," the man said, his voice a melodic baritone that carried across the Flats without effort. "My name is Harlan. I am the Lead Auditor for the Directorate’s Inner-Rim holdings. I believe we have some... outstanding accounts to settle." Leo stepped off the Coyote, his boots crunching on the obsidian. He didn't reach for his blade. He reached for the "Null-Link," feeling the emerald energy of the Spire humming in the distance, ready to strike if he gave the word.

The CEO’s Regret: My Ex-Wife is the Hidden Tycoon

I looked at Xander, who was trying to unbuckle himself from the medical chair, his movements jerky and pained. "Xander, sit down! You’re going to tear your internal sutures!" "Sara, the Auditor... it runs on the old Board logic," Xander panted, his forehead slick with cold sweat. "It only attacks 'failed assets.' If I can convince the system that the Thorne line is still active and dominant, it might... it might pause the liquidation." "Convince a machine?" I asked, incredulous. "How?" "By giving it a new 'Chairman,'" Xander said, his eyes finding mine. "The sub has a long-range uplink. If I connect my neural interface to the Auditor’s command core... I can feed it a false update. After We Said Goodbye

After We Said Goodbye

--- I thought the matter had nothing to do with me. After all, during my time there, I had no authority over the company’s accounts. Richard Band, Angela’s father, regularly reviewed the books himself, and Hank’s mother managed the finances directly. Yet only two days later, both Hank and Greta showed up again—this time with a man who looked like a lawyer. “How did the tax investigation happen so fast?” Hank demanded. “Enough,” Greta said sharply. “What’s the point of talking about that now?” I looked at them both, wondering what they had come for this time.

The Ex’s Regret: She Returned to Her New Billionaire Husband

The Ex’s Regret: She Returned to Her New Billionaire Husband

The first afternoon Xavier returned to Wrenford, he stood before the large glass wall of the executive boardroom. He closed the folder and turned to the three people he had summoned first. “Harper, you lead the special audit. Starting today, every payment above one hundred thousand dollars is frozen until your team gives clearance.” Harper nodded. “I need full access, Mr. Xavier. Including the server logs and the approval chain of the previous CEO.”
