A gargoyle was positioned with a level tap handle within hands reach.
“A squat toilet,” she realized and saw his surprise. “Some human cultures use them too.” There were handles built into the carvings, places for the squatter to hold onto if their balance was impacted, she imagined. And a fish was positioned to spit water and wash the squatter’s region like a bidet.
There was no door to the room. It made sense, she thought, that a people who walked around naked, and apparently went at leisure whilst swimming in their Mer form, would not find the bathroom a place requiring privacy.
