Zaire had informed Alpha Ryan of everything that was happening and by the time he had finished explaining, Alpha Ryan was ready to enter PowerMoon territory without Zachariah’s all-clear.

A sad, glittery banner declared “Class of 2015 – A Decade of Destiny!” I was nursing a warm, shitty beer, trying to look politely interested as Stacy Miller recounted her third kid’s potty-training saga, when I felt it. A shift in the atmosphere. A prickle on the back of my neck that had nothing to do with the shitty AC. I turned. And there he was. Leaning against the bleachers like he owned the fucking place. Zack. He’d filled out since he was eighteen. The lanky frame was now solid, a wall of muscle under a simple black button-down, the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, showcasing the intricate tattoos that snaked up his forearms.

“He does treat me pretty well.” Everyone began teasing her. She responded to all of them with a smile and finally raised her glass. “Let me share some good news with everyone. Zack is about to celebrate his first birthday. If everyone doesn’t mind, please join us at his party. It’s been great working with you over this period, and I’ve long treated everyone like family, and that’s why I want to share this joy with everyone.” Everyone around the table was stunned for a moment before standing up. “We’ll be there. I reply with a cocky grin. We cruise to school, talking about last night's party and our plans for the weekend. Xander's new ride still makes quite the impression as we pull into the school parking lot, and we get more looks than usual as we park. As we head through school toward our lockers, I hear someone singing "Happy Birthday." Out of the corner of my eye, I see Zahra. She looks up, and our eyes meet. It hits me then—it’s her birthday. She’s turning 14 today. Shit.!

Looks like he is exhausted with my questions. “You shouldn’t even think like that. He is one of a kind,” he says. That catches me off guard. I stare at him, waiting for him to continue. "make sure you make it special for her, she feels a little low that I won't celebrate her birthday with her but since you are here, make sure she enjoys it and oh, take care of my new girlfriend as well". Chris raised his eyebrow "did you just say girlfriend?" Zack smirked "do I look like or sound like a joker? of course my girlfriend, Fortune" Chris blankly stared at Zack, he was surprised.

My heart swelled like the Grinches at the movie's end when his first cry rang out as he entered the world. "Dada, Dada!" Tate's high-pitched squeal rang out, sending a poor rabbit running for the hills. Zac squats down, scooping his bite-size clone into his large protective arms. "How's, my little man?" Tate cackles in pure joy as Zac tickles his tummy. Tilting his head to me, "You okay, babe?"
