“He’s... complicated.” “Complicated how?” “He’s guarded. Quiet. But when he does open up, it’s like he sees right through me. It’s... unsettling.” Ash nodded, her teasing demeanor softening. “And you? How do you feel when you’re around him?” Happy’s fingers traced the edge of her notebook, her expression pensive. “Safe,” she said after a moment. “But also... scared. Like he could see every part of me, even the ones I’m not ready to share.”

“Should I be worried or happy?” Red’s voice pulled his best friend out of his thoughts, the same thoughts that had left Romero grinning like a fool. Damn, it feels good to be this happy. “Hey, buddy!” Romero exclaimed, his joy evident as he sprang from his seat and wrapped Red in a warm hug. Red tilted his head slightly once they pulled apart, giving the billionaire a look. They both sat on the couch. “I think I should be happy. Because when was the last time you willingly, without being forced, gave your amazing best friend a hug?”

Tony read after he swiped his phone open. "Thank goodness, they were in the back of my head the whole time." Dillon said as Tony shot off an acknowledgement text and set his phone down. 'Iron Man' concluded a moment later and the credits started to roll. Before he gave up his right to pick the next movie, he wanted a little… 'thank you'. "A'ight, 'fore we play yer Dark Knight, yer gonna come over here and thank me, right?" Tony rubbed himself through his pajamas as he saw Dillon flick his eyes hungrily to his hand.

He was very happy because of Liah unlike earlier. We sat across from each other. "You look so happy. Like a man turning into an official father," I said before biting into my hamburger. Ryan tried talking to me in the beginning, but eventually saw I needed to be alone with my thoughts… and so he let me go. There was a movie I once saw called Kiss Of The Spider Woman. It was about a couple of prisoners in a South American jail cell. One line I particularly loved was from William Hurt, who played a gay man imprisoned for his sexuality. It went something like this: The most wonderful thing about being happy is that you think you’ll never be unhappy again. I love that quote, because it’s so true. When you’re truly happy, everything is bliss – and always will be. You’re absolutely sure of that fact deep down in your bones.
