It opened when the figure spoke, revealing rows of small, needle-sharp teeth. "Thank you for inviting me in," it said. “It’s me, HONEY.” Leo tried to run. He scrambled toward the stairs, but the figure moved faster. It blocked the doorway, standing between Leo and the light. Its thin arms reached out. The hands had too many fingers, all of them too long.
