Rabbit Calissi yelled beckoning to the little girl by my side to move away. “It wouldn’t.” Another voice said and I recognized it instantly, the voice that had stayed with only one role to torture me. And surprisingly, I saw something like amusement on his face. “My name is Gabriel LaBête, King of Elyndor.” I blinked and paused for a moment before I burst out laughing. It was soft at first, but the more I thought about it, the louder it grew. “Right… of course you are,” I said in the most sarcastic tone ever. He didn’t look offended. No, he smiled like he had expected me not to believe him. I squinted, still smiling like his words were the best joke I’d heard all day. “So tell me, Your Majesty,” I said, taking a sip from my glass. “What is a king doing in a pub like this?”

Peggy swallowed hard, a chill running down her spine that had nothing to do with the cold… Heather suddenly stopped hard, nearly sending them all over her head. “Heather, what the hell?!” Archer shouted. Heather was growling. Peggy glanced around before she saw it too. The body and ears belonged to a rabbit. The face had things, black horns, and long tentacles that scraped along the ground. It looked at them all with its dark brown eyes. “It’s not afraid,” Heather hissed in their minds. “I don’t care, go around it!” Archer shouted. The rabbit didn’t move as his voice echoed around the snow.

As the aura of a fifth-tier knight spread outward, the fierce, forceful roaring inside at once degenerated into frightened whimpering. An image involuntarily surfaced in Logo’s mind: A mad dog, locked inside a cage and barking frantically, suddenly confronted by a tiger. At once it tucked in its tail, cowered in the corner, and trembled all over. With one hand, Beff lifted out the cage. Inside was not a mad dog, but a boar with dark hide, a hard armored carapace across its back, and a pair of razor-sharp tusks. A Blackarmored Boar.

I didn’t know the harsh unyielding brute before me, something awful had to have happened. Bas found his voice finally. “They were gonna do worse to her!” Bas protested. “You wouldn’t let that happen, so neither would I,” he argued. Wrong answer, The Beast wasn’t reacting to Bastian’s words but his attitude, Bastian’s wafting dominance attempted to cut through Wyatt's aura and failed, yet it flared again. The dining hall is similar to the one that was in the painting I threatened to torch, only slightly less wide. It is a long room with a very high ceiling and no pillars. The lighting in the room comes from numerous lamps that burn so bright everything in the large room is visible to you no matter where you are standing in it. Its high walls are adorned by paintings of all kinds similar in style and feel to the aforementioned one but of vastly different subject matters. There’s one of a war ship and another of a garrison. There is a large portrait of a pale woman staring judgingly at me and another of a really cute baby right next to it. Then there’s the paintings of beasts, some I recognize,

Pine joked, earning him a slap to the back of the head from Reaper. “Beast isn’t one to tolerate your jokes. Careful, Pine.” Reaper warns. “I would second that.” Beasts' low, threatening tone vibrates the surrounding air. “Beast,” I nod. Beast walks to the fire, relaxing on the dirty ground, leaning against the log bench. He always preferred the ground. He could detect movement vibrations through the ground. Nothing sneaks up on Beast. Ever. “That female is my mate.” I watched as the group turned and looked at Beast wide-eyed.
