Felix casually tugged on a rope beside him. "Ha! Like mother, like daughter—so defiant." Sharp wails came from the cliff's edge. "Mother, no! Don't anger them or I'll die! They're all insane!" Mother was gripping my hand tightly, and when she discovered Victoria hanging from the cliff wall by a thin rope, her nails dug into my flesh.
