(Harper’s POV) “I’m sorry, what now?” I stared at Harry, dumbfounded. He flicked through some more pages of the book and then turned it to face me. I apprehensively looked down at the book. The page was titled “Bloodline” and there was a picture of a wicked-looking blade down one side. The writing was a little faded and handwritten, but despite all that, it felt so familiar and I could read it, like it was something I had read a thousand times before.

But hope, like magic, has a price, and I am increasingly aware of that price. The book itself is a work of macabre art. The cover, made of dark leather that almost appears black, pulses with a life of its own, as if it were breathing. The leather is stained with deep shades of red, almost as though it has been soaked in blood over the centuries, giving it a sinister and throbbing appearance. Along the edges of the cover, aged silver chains are interwoven in complex patterns, depicting ancient runes and seals of protection, symbols only an enchantress could decipher. A grin slipped onto his face and he continued, “Welcome to your own little Hogwarts!” Twisting the knob, Nate entered and Eira followed. After hearing the word ‘Hogwarts’ she had built up high expectations. The room wasn’t grand or beautiful. Truthfully, it was dull. First she took in were the shelves with several thick books that looked torn at the edges. There were a few wooden tables with differently shaped candles and pentagrams drawn over them. The walls were lined with crafts and charts that attracted her attention. Most of them were hangings that showed the phases of the moon. There was something written below each picture but it was a foreign language that she couldn’t understand. Sh

He smiled pulling open the box and retrieving the large black book that was hidden inside, gold writing stood on the front and the thickest of paper concealed within. “It is a personalised drawing pad, I ensured to find the best one on the market, your artwork and talents only deserve the best.” He smiled joyfully handing me the quite heavy book, where I could have cried when I saw what was inscribed in gold writing. “Erin Hayes artwork. Inspired by Tony Hayes.”

Dwyne has a part in this ticket too. “That Harry Potter Book Collections, and that heart-shaped necklace, miss” Dwyne said to the counter lady. I was surprised when he picked what I want—the Harry Potter Book Collections. I can't help but looked at him with confusion. The woman gave what Dwyne said. “Thank you for coming, sir, ma'am” the girl said. Dwyne nod and smiled, but being a bitch me, I just rolled my eyes at her. “Oh, this is for you” Harvey said and handed me the necklace and the Harry Potter Book Collection.

She just took his breath away. "Come on in, let us start with some magick and then we can do more research on the wolf/snake/man whatever." Art said and they sat together. Rory circled the insignia in the book, which was the symbol for alchemy, twice with her finger, the book opened with a soft blue glow. Rory giggled. She looked exhilarated, like a kid in the sweet shop. Art explained to her about different herbs and how they could be imbibed into a potion. "My mom is always better at potions. I- I dabble, but sometimes I make the opposite of what I intended to make." He said with a frown and she chuckled.

Tove provided a brief explanation. I snorted. Yeah, right. That wasn't possible. I didn't care what kind of magic they thought they had, there was no such thing as moving pictures. I'd seen one picture in my entire life, and it certainly hadn't moved. Unless someone thought the flames eating away at the edges counted as it ‘moving.' "We'll show you. Artemisia wasn't sure where she had gotten that speculation from, but given the world the young woman lived in, with or without magic, the young woman didn't doubt much whether that was true.

The contrast of Jules’ silky skin and muscle against the rough stone and wood caused Harry to groan slightly with want.
