“Oh my god! You got me the Harry Potter Series!” I rushed to the bookshelf and grabbed a copy of ‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire’. It was the only book I had read in the series and I had fallen in love with it. I had promised myself that I would buy more but I never got the money. “Yeah, girl,” she said smugly, “and I got you some others you might like…” I saw the other books and my jaw dropped. It was almost all the books on my reading wish list.

There were cobwebs everywhere, and I was not shocked because no one was in a hurry to learn that. Setting my satchel down on a nearby table, I pulled out the spell book and flipped to the chapter on protection. The symbols and instructions stared back at me looking very foreign. I ran my fingers over the pages, tracing the intricate designs as I whispered the first few words of the spell. I felt the air charge around me and for the first time in days, I felt a flicker of hope.

As I stepped out, my eyes caught sight of a book. 'Sorcery: The introduction' was what was printed in beautiful cursive on the spine of the book. I pulled it out of its place and two other books fell over where its position had been. Curiosity caused me to open the first page and I find the name of the coven there. "Welcome to the Ravens Den Coven", it said. My eyes skim through the things written on the page and I flip over to the next page. What I find there causes my heart to stop. It causes my whole world to almost fall apart.

Dawn remarked when she wandered into the room one day after class to see the first Harry Potter book in the brunette’s hands. “Hadn’t had time to finish it”, Lena said. She set her book aside and picked up Goblet of Fire “I’ve marked the page you were on”, she told Dawn as she held it out to her. The teen smiled, took the book from Lena and relaxed onto her bed to start reading. Lena picked up where she left off in the novel. ~0~

With the aid of my thumb and my index fingers, I picked out the book, ‘Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I walked to the windows and parted both curtains sideways, giving up space for sunlight and fresh air. I plopped onto my bed, my back against the ceiling and I placed my elbows on a pillow and the book in front of my face, just in place for a nice time with myself and the author. As I read through lines, my eyes brightened with delight and my mind wandered far away into the world of fantasy. Curling on his side, he rolled away from the oncoming horses, and in the process, pummeled his head on a large rock. The world swam before him, nothing focused. He needed to get out of harm’s way, but was too late. A horse stepped on his shin. The sound of snapping bones churned his stomach. Sharp pain, like a scalding knife ripping through his leg ran amuck, speared throughout his body. Blackness quickly filled his already foggy mind and his eyes shut.

I said to him in walking around his room, I turned my head to him in waiting for an answer and he quickly shook his head from one side to another. So he hadn't any family members. But from disgust smell, I smelled something else. He had drugs there, he kept them in a book. I went by the bookshelf and took the third book. "Harry Poter? Are you for real?" He kept in a children's tale drugs. Pages were cut in the middle of a book and placed drugs instead. He paled from my question maybe he was afraid that I liked his book and he destroyed what I like. No, I didn't like this nonsense, but... I shook my head in thinking drop it, Jack.

Draco replied, stepping to the bookshelves and starting to pick up some books. They spent hours later reading and days later. Draco and Astrid came every day to read. Astrid leaned against the bookshelf in despair. Under her feet laid the messy books she was reading. Draco sat on the floor not far from her. I felt satisfied with what I was holding and took it out of the closet with me so I could wear it for dinner. After I was done picking out my outfit I decided to go back to the black book that my teacher gave me and try to see if I could teach myself a spell. I held the book in my hand for a few seconds before finally opening it. I could feel a small smile on my face when the book opened easily. When I looked inside the book I saw that there was one spell on the first page of the book. I could feel a frown replace the smile on my face. I couldn’t understand why the spell Shadow was the first thing I had to learn. What does it even do?
