Chapter 17 Scarlett The next day was as usual and surprisingly no one visited me. I found a few books that were placed on the table. It was the Harry Potter series. Taking the book, I went to bed and hopped up. Leaning back, I started reading. The book captivated me wholly and I didnt know how many hours passed until a soft knock came on the door.

Akira who was still trying to catch her breath raised her index finger, she caught her breath and replied, “that spell did not only reveal things about me.” The next bend they took brought them to the reading table where they met rune who was already seated with a large volume of books piled up before him in threes and fives. He was not happy with what he was seeing, “where's the books you went to get?” He asked. “Here…” Orion answered as he tossed the copy of Harry Potter he held to Rune. “theres no way that you're serious about this, a children's book?” He asked. “A children's book that is loved by adults….”

Thirty minutes later, Phoebe returned, looking so refreshed you'd hardly know she'd been in tears. She got dressed in a baggy polo and short pants. While she searched the room for a pin to adjust her shorts that was a little bigger than her at the waist, she caught sight of a novel, which made her lips curl up in a smile. Hunter crossed his arms in front of his chest and looked at me annoyed. I ignored him and turned the cover. Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets. "Well, this is a secret, alright. I didn't know you're a Harry Potter fan." Hunter took a few steps and took the book from me. "You know nothing about me." He opened the book, flipped through the pages until he found the page he was reading. "I know you for a year now. I think I know one or two things about you. One of it is that you don't read, especially a book." I picked up the bottle of beer from the ground and took a sip.

And then, she saw another somewhat familiar name. “Duke Liam Almandine marched to the South with Archmage Heinrich Hyacinth... and the Army of Lycans.” She mumbled the names, she voiced her suspicions. “Liam...” A sliver of thought passed her mind. That coffee cup... She focused back on the book and read the story through the night. She finished the book at three in the morning, thanks to her talent for fast reading. In the last chapter, the Villain won the war. He killed everyone. He killed the two main characters, but Harriet weirdly felt that wasn’t the important thing here.

I'm reading Harry Potter on the couch, at Ana's insistence. Despite my first impressions of the book, mainly that it seemed geared toward children and not me, Harry Potter is turning out to be a very interesting read. I can't really relate to the main character missing his parents, but I can relate to his dislike for his living family members and his joy at leaving them behind and making new, unexpected friends. Sensing that it must be late, I check the time and see that it's 11:30, much later than Ana is usually out in the living room. I glance over at the table to see her head nodding at the same tempo as the foot-tapping. She is still intent on the Glock. I wonder if she realizes how late

Hm… might have to have a good long think on that one. Lena closed the book after finishing up the entry and put it back into its place in her desk drawer. She tugged the band out of her shoulder length brown hair, running her fingers through it. The young woman then moved over to her bed where on the nightstand, was a very worn copy of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. She got comfortable on her bed, picked up the book and started to read. She got through about 10 pages before there was a knock on her door. "Come in!" Lena called. She glanced at the door when it opened and fellow sorority sister, Casey Grant, walked in.
