“Alpha,” Cecily greeted after taking a minute to reboot her brain, even as the two other girls looked flustered and bowed in respect.
The best part of it all was that Grey ignored them. “If we leave now we can still make it for dinner,” he said, taking me into his arms and nuzzling my neck. His eyes flashed and I saw his wolf beneath the surface, begging me to use him against anyone who made me cry.
“I’m hungry,” I said, and he nodded and took my hand. As we were about to leave, I turned to Cecily. “Stay away from me or else I’ll really kill you. This is a friendly warning.” Grey found this amusing.
