Chapter 82 Raija’s POV “We should shift to run back,” Nick tells me as we cuddle on the forest floor. He has been so gentle while we made love and now with sun rising he still holds me like I’m a doll. I snuggle closer to his side and he tightens his grip. “One more time,” A bat my eyes looking up at him. “Those blue eyes. Do everything to me.” His hands move me to on top of him. “Do you have a Fantasy you want try?” I ask biting my lip.

They all spread their wings and let out a loud cry, then they begin to fly towards me as I burst through the broken front door. “LET ME TAKE OVER!” Ivory screams in my head, but I don’t listen to her. Or at least not yet. With two guns in hand, I begin to shoot at the nearest bats and they all fall to the ground. When I run out of bullets, I throw the guns at them and shift smoothly to my Lycan form. Then, together, we run along the forest, desperate to reach the edge because I know that that would stop the bats. But then, as we pass by the pit, I see Nancy and Arthur standing right in front of it.

comes Nate's sad voice. "Me to buddy me to." "Did you notice it with Noah?" Nate asks me nervously. "I did, I already guessed you did too, I could feel your sadness, could feel you getting restless." Nate doesn't say anything more, he retreats to the back of my mind and closes the link between us. He knows we both need our own space to think right now, to remember. He reminds us both of Carter, he looks like him even down to the blonde man bun on top of his head. He was my best friend, my bother in every sense of the word the future Alpha of this pack, and dam the world lost a bloody good man the day he died. Too many good people died that day Including Carter's parents and my own. I was mea

The sky release a bolt. It Nathan midway, he was forced to stop in his tracks. He looked down at his hands petrified by the sudden boost of energy. He could feel himself shift but unlike his normal shifting, it was peaceful and didn't yarn for vengeance, rather he felt like he had a mission to fulfill before he last breath. He looked down at could see himself above the grown, instead of admiring his wolf he went for it. He threw the stake when he got closer to the giant bat who was crushing Nathan's throat.

I launch myself toward him, smothering the pelt over his face and neck. He shouts, flailing his arms and fighting back against me. He kicks against me and I climb on top of him, doing my best to pin his legs down. Adrenaline rushes in my ears. The rest of the world swirls around me, turning into a meaningless blur. The only thing that exists, the only thing that matters, is the battle between me and the Moon Rabbit. He twists, trying to buck me off, but I put all my weight onto my two hands, forcing the pelt against his flesh. Eventually, there’s a strange popping sensation in the room, and then his human body has disappeared.

He lies through his teeth. I couldn’t help but laugh. “I’m just pulling your leg; I don’t actually want a dog or to name it bun bun. If I did actually want an animal, it would be a cat. I need something that can take care of itself. While I’m out partying and working.” Which is true. If I wanted a pet, I would want a cat and name it after a character in Naruto. If it’s a male I’d name him Kakashi and if it’s a girl Hinata. Those are my two favorite characters. I love Itachi and pervy sage, but I love those two more. There are many amazing characters in Naruto. But I love those two the most, Hinata bring comedic relief whenever she sees Naruto and the woman’s dedication to loving Naruto since

I grimaced at this one, fully aware that could lead to his death, except his wolf blood kicks in on time. “Gee, that is homicide.” Narin blinked at me in disbelief. “Just keep the ideas coming.” “Make him bald?” “Hide his clothes after soccer training?” “Put something in his breakfast to make him fart for the rest of the day?” Narin’s eyes gleamed in excitement as she lifted her hands to my face, signaling me to stop. “That is it! That is the one!“ She tapped her fingers together like some supervillain. “I have just the perfect spell for this one and I have been itching to use it.“

Instead, I raised an eyebrow at Nate who suddenly seemed to be lost in his own world. "No, I think it wasn't superman boxers. It was batman ones! Yes! That was it! I remember. He didn't like spiderman but was a great batman fan. Oh! Those were some cool boxers." He was mumbling to himself and I looked at him weirdly. "Geez Nate! Are you sure you're just best friends? Because by the way you're describing his boxers with that smile, I don't think I really want to know the extent of your relationship." I visibly shuddered at yet another mental image of Nate and Adr-... No, don't go there. He let out a deep laugh attracting the attention of the people nearby. Nate finally noticed this and smiled

he snapped. “Oh, he sure wasn’t. In fact, we were just about to move our conversation somewhere else before you ruined the night for me.” “Oh, I ruined the night?” he hissed, stepping even closer. “That guy was dangerous! Do you even know what he would’ve done to you if I hadn’t gotten there in time?” “I don’t know, Nate. Why don’t you enlighten me Batman? You’re the hero here, right? And I’m just your helpless little damsel in distress?”
