Hikari said in a gentle, deep voice. My lips curled into an ‘O’. “Your silver eyes match his eyes, look,” Hikari looked at the dragon, and so did I. “Yeah!” I smiled. “What is his name?” The dragon dived into the clouds again and emerged in front of me. I flinched. My back collided with Hikari’s chest. “Sorry, he surprised me.” Hikari reached out his hand and the dragon slowly lowered his enormous neck, allowing Hikari to pet him.

It matched the ring I had bought her and I smiled as I looked at it. “By the power granted to us we declare Rylee Grey the Drakaina of the Grey Lair and true fated bonded half of Sire Lucas Grey forevermore,” Elder Peter said. I felt the pull towards the realm of the dragons and when I opened my eyes, Rylee and I stood in a cave, similar to the one where I found Baz. There was a soft humming sound and a large black dragon appeared in front of us. I instinctively knew what to do and held my hand out to him where he made a cut on my palm and repeated the process with Rylee. I took her hand and our blood mingled once again.

Nuri and Alec were growing closer with each sunrise and each sunset. Laying in bed with Nuri wrapped up in his arms, Alec realized that he did not want to be without her, if anything; he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Nuri. His lips quivered in fear as he stared at the dragon's eyes, which were like flames and body, so ancient and dark. “What do you want?” Minerva asked absentmindedly as the dragon stared into her soul. It nudged her head, its snout as if he could read her mind. Then it looked away from her. Behind her, Vincent stood there, a protective hawk. He didn't like it that there was another watching out for Minerva. “I don't like this dragon,” Vincent murmured. Minerva would have laughed if they were not in a situation like this. The dragon tilted its head as if he heard what Vincent had said. Then it moved his attention back to Minerva.

I raise my shoulders at her. "You met him already? Who is it? Wait, I don't understand. That asshole cheated on you?" Jodie went from happy to murder in five seconds. "Jeez, relax. I guess, I did meet him. I have no idea who it is. My mother says that my dragon will tell me. She just hasn't spoken to me yet." I place my hands on her shoulders and pushed her out the door. "It kind of makes sense why your dragon hasn't spoken to you. We get our dragons young, so they learn and grow with us. At this stage, your dragon is still a baby. I think she still has to learn to talk I guess." I look at her in utter disbelief.

I peer over the side of the bed, open my mouth, and let loose with a blast of fire. "Owww... fuck... stop that," he yells putting his hands up to block the flames. I tear off the shirt I'm wearing, sprint from the room, and dive over the edge of the perch. It's a few seconds before I remember to pull in the magic. But does it really matter? I thought I would give anything to be a dragon, but I would give it all back for Tahr's love. My dragon bursts free and more flames shoot from my throat.

The dragon was beginning to panic. “It’s okay,” Harry caught Jules’ snout between his hands, feeling the hot dry breath of the dragon’s fearful exhale blow up their legs and torso, lifting the strands of their hair. “Jules, it’s okay. Calm down, my lover, my darling, my mate. I have you. You are safe.” They saw the words register in the dragon’s eyes, their gazes locking. “It’s okay, my heart, my beautiful, beautiful mate,” Harry crooned. “You are safe with me.”

Harry replied to me, and as I turned to walk away, Harry asked me, "What should I do to them, your majesty?" I paused and stared at the five male dragons on the floor as they were chained and tied in a way they wouldn't be able to escape or shapeshift and fly away. I saw some of them looked younger, while some looked mature like male lords that could have already had a mate and probably a child at home. I said, "Don't kill them yet. Throw them into the dungeon."
