House Of Night BY P.C. CAST AND KRISTIN CAST Hogwarts for vampires? Yes, Harry Potter had his wizard school, but there are at least two series that give vampire teens their own school. First up: The House of Night series, six books written by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast, a mother-and-daughter team from Tulsa, Okla. Marked, Betrayed, Chosen, Untamed, Hunted and Tempted. Vampires are chosen almost randomly, and they have to enter special academies, where they go through a program and slowly change — or die. This series is quite well-done, and has a lot of goddess theology and ritual in it.

It was the second time I burned myself with my cup of tea. I had recently bought it when I discovered an internet store about literary articles, and I instantly fell in love with the Harry Potter-themed cup that only required the coat of arms belonging to the book when it was filled to the top by a smoking liquid. Most of the time, I just filled it with water just to have the pleasure of seeing the dark color giving way to the brightness that contained the drawing of the most famous magnificent witchcraft school in the literary world.

I just had to get that book. A huge chunk of my childhood was spent reading J.K Rowling's books (including the whole, god-licious Harry Potter series which were obviously my favourite ones). Everything she wrote made me dream vividly of another world- it was nearly as fantastic as skydiving. I glanced at my legs and sighed sadly- the last thing I wanted to do was think of skydiving. I needed a few more weeks to digest that accident.

Dwyne has a part in this ticket too. “That Harry Potter Book Collections, and that heart-shaped necklace, miss” Dwyne said to the counter lady. I was surprised when he picked what I want—the Harry Potter Book Collections. I can't help but looked at him with confusion. The woman gave what Dwyne said. “Thank you for coming, sir, ma'am” the girl said. Dwyne nod and smiled, but being a bitch me, I just rolled my eyes at her. “Oh, this is for you” Harvey said and handed me the necklace and the Harry Potter Book Collection.

"Your welcome, Mr. Potter. Ah, if you want to learn magecraft, I suggest that you sharpen your studies in math, physics and chemistry, and get to study arithmancy and runes in your next year. There will be new books available in the library soon that explain more about it." Erik said. Larry Potter nodded, already imagining his best girl friend's reaction at his mention of new books in the library, and was guided out of the office by Professor McGonagall. Director Bone waited for the duo to exit and close the door of the office, and turned to Erik. She then asked with some steel in her voice. "The boy was a Horcrux?" "Yes, and no." Erik answered. "What do you mean?"

Vasilisa was packing her grimoire, wrapping it up with a large piece of gold cloth she had found. "Why Latin?" said Vasilisa. "Because it's a dead language and everybody likes to use it to summon a spell, like Harry Potter," Ruslan said. "Who's Harry Potter?" the sorceress asked. "He's a wizard," Ruslan chuckled. "Why haven't I heard of him before?" "Because he's probably in another crazier universe than this, that's why," Cassandra interrupted. "If you want old, there's plenty of languages older than Latin," Vasilisa said to Ruslan.

“When I was young, I’d hide up here because Jason didn’t know about it. In fact, until about six months ago, I always knew that I was safe up here.” Boy, how much didn’t I want to know the answer to this, but still… “What happened six months ago?” Alex shunted an old collection of Harry Potter books to one side (and no surprises why he’d had to hide stories where the wizard was the hero), and wriggled his hand through to a large blanket box.

No one was present and I had all the time choosing and deciding what I wanted. "You can buy three books, maximum" Karthik added from beside me. Only three books? Just three books out of all these eye-catching feasts before me? I wish I could buy the whole shelf because there were wide varieties of books also the books I wanted to read so badly which had been stuck on my wish list for years. I could see the Harry Potter series pocking out of the fantasy section; my all-time favorite book. But I had already read them back home so it's a waste of time. I also saw Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys books to my left which excitingly was the crime and thriller section, I had almost read all of them too. I

Book One: Family Magic I batted at the curl of smoke drifting off the tip of my candle and tried not to sneeze. My heavy velvet cloak fell in oppressive, suffocating folds in the closed space of the ceremony chamber, the cowl trapping the annoying bits of puff I missed. I hated the way my eyes burned and teared, an almost constant distraction. Not that I didn't welcome the distraction, to be honest. Anything to take my mind from what went on around me.

His mouth formed an ‘O’ as he processed the information. “But it’s nothing like holding a book in your hand and getting lost in an adventure or romance novel.” I joked. “Oh, I have a few books if you want to pick some out and take them with you. For the journey.” “Really? That would be great!” I clapped my hands together in excitement about what new tales I could delve into. I ended up picking out three books. One was about a treasure hunt, the second was a collection of romance stories from around the realm based on Alpha’s finding their mates, and the third was based on historical figures and their relationships to their gods.
