Two months went by and we were also a week away from Matt's 18th birthday. The man loves to read, so I decided to buy him the complete series of Harry Potter. He loves the books more than the movies. He couldn't afford the whole series, so this is the perfect gift. And also, the wand. He is a Potter head. I saw him walking to his locker, I ran towards him and jumped on his back. "There she is." Back in LA, in times like this, where I had nothing to do and was seemingly distracted, I would lie in bed, reread one of the books on my shelf, and reread it the next day until I could almost memorize the entire thing. Rowling's Harry Potter series, James Patterson's Maximum Ride Series and his other books like Suzanne's letter to Nicholas, Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson series, The Kane Chronicles, Heroes of Olympus, the House of Night series, Blue Bloods and many others I can't name now. Wrong. The first few titles I sift through are the kind I expected to find in a place like this: image-heavy coffee table books about the estate. They have titles like Huntington Manor: A Photographic Tour, or The Architecture of Huntington Manor. Or even Settlers of Barberville: A History of the Region. But buried beneath all of those, I find a book that makes my insides twist. It's called The Cunninghams: The Unauthorized Story. I stare down at the gold embossed letters on the cover. This is a joke, right? This can't be real.

Every morning was a gift. Nisan had grown quickly, as half-blood children often did. Memories of me and Ethan sprawled on my bed or my bedroom floor reading books together, guessing each other’s Hogwarts house. It was Friday afternoon. As the classes were over before noon, I had called Jake over to help me pack all my stuff for the move. Anya would have helped, but she was in her office and had called in to make sure Jake and Andrew were behaving. “Is that Harry Potter?!” Andrew exclaimed, rushing into my room and leaning down to see the books with his big brown eyes. I grinned at him and let him see the books. “My mom gifted it to me when I was ten.”

I realised it was my father putting up a defensive spell. Atlas began to move towards the mages, clearly protected by the barrier. He shifted there and then, the rest of the pack following suit. Hundreds of scraps of material lay on the ground in their wake like strange multicoloured snow. Then all of a sudden, they leapt into the line of mages. I saw some fall almost instantly as white light struck their bodies. I said a silent prayer that they would only be wounded and not killed. Others managed to get to a few of the mages, ripping their throats out in the blink of an eye.

I sat on small wooden stool that was present inside, since Draco was not back yet , I decided to go though my bag, I pulled out all four books that was written by my grandmother on Dark Creatures, Spells, poison and lastly DRAGONS, each of this book included all detail information on spell, method, about ghost, warewolf, sorceress , way to tackle them and many more things, tree books included every detail on other supernatural things while one entire book was dedicated to Dragon.
