Will checked the address sent to him as the agent pointed to a nearby mansion. "Actually, sir, that's where you're wrong. See that place over there? Everyone says it's haunted, but does it look haunted to you? Someone just moved in. We just say houses are haunted to bring down the price." As a local, Will knew of several mansions that were best avoided. Not only were they inconveniently located, but they were also rumored to be teeming with malevolent spirits. He recognized the house the agent pointed to. "That mansion?" It was exactly where the coordinates led him.

A slow smile curved Drake’s lips as his gaze swept over to me. “If memory serves from our tour the other day, Hannah, Nightcrest is in possession of a rather famous haunted attraction, isn’t it? What was it called again? The Emily House?” My brows hiked upward as realization dawned on me; the Emily House was an attraction in Nightcrest seated at the top of a tall hill; an old mansion that was said to have been haunted by a spirit named Emily. Supposedly, a family had stayed there in the 80s and were terrorized by Emily until they ultimately just upped and left in the night, leaving all of their belongings behind.

Hollis**** The mansion’s corridors were a labyrinth of decay, reeking of mildew and forgotten secrets. Each step echoed like a distant scream, and the oppressive silence wrapped around us like a predator waiting to strike. The air was thick, each breath heavy with the stench of rot, and every creak of the floorboards sent a jolt of adrenaline through my veins. I kept my grip firm on Hailey’s hand, her warmth grounding me even as icy dread crept further into my soul.

It was the same as Mike and Reed. Before Red could take the next breath, the haunted mansion vanished along with her friends' dead bodies, leaving her frozen and gasping for breath. With the help of a passerby, she was able to return home. As soon as she got there, she told her mother about her pregnancy, and before her father got back from work, they escaped Hamlet together.

The second a big, hairy spider swung down, just above my face like a pendulum of doom, I screamed, rushing out of the room immediately, my heart slamming against my ribs. This room gave me the creeps, and I wasn't ready to go back in. Was this part of the mansion haunted? The air felt heavy with spectral presence. Why did Mrs. Hanson bring me here? Is it to task me to clean it up? Oh, hell no... I'll definitely turn her down... I'm not ready for that kind of traumatic experience yet... Wait, what if I died cleaning this room, then they'd rumor me to be the maid who got claimed by the evil spirit...

I laughed and ran to Elena and Mitch. We came to the haunted mansion. Like I thought, there are crowds here too. I walked behind Elena and Mitch. There was a spooky tree beside the mansion. The house was decorated with the theme of halloween with a skull on the entrance above the door. Jack o lantern statues here and there. As soon as we entered the mansion, it was dark inside. There were some places lit here and there and There was a huge ancient chandelier on the ceiling looking majestic and giving the castle vibe inside it. Vivian told them. It’s no wonder she said that. He could tell something inside herself scared her. What he doesn’t understand was why the professor chose that place. The mansion was a haunted house. He could feel the many wild souls hiding in every corner of the mansion since they arrived there. “A man massacred people here. Most of those who died were children,” Vivian said in a whisper, even though no one could hear them. “This mansion was an orphanage from the beginning. Only a family lived in it after they bought it.”

He had a lot of bat sculptures and bat antics, and they didn't look cheap. He also had creepy animal faces on the walls of the least used hallway. There were so many rooms that were not occupied. Back when I was still a maid, I heard some of them say that the unoccupied rooms were haunted. At first I didn't believe it but it wasn't hard to believe anymore.

Roe watched his men struggle and turned to Brian. “How did you hold that beam up by yourself?” he asked Brian with admiration. “I guess I had some help,” Brian replied quickly. “Help?” “Yeah, the supernatural kind,” Brian said simply. “You mean to tell me this place is haunted?” Roe asked confused. “Very much so.” Brian nodded. “Then why haven’t we seen or heard anything?”
