Haunting Adeline Sequel Novels & Stories

Knox's smile returned, tinged with satisfaction at her compliance. "Yes?" he replied, his voice tinged with a hint of triumph. Taking a steadying breath, Adeline slowly resumed her seat, her gaze fixed unwaveringly on Knox. The room seemed to hold its breath, its very air thick with anticipation, as she mustered the strength to begin recounting her haunting tale. Her words, like delicate threads, wove a tapestry of profound loss, relentless survival, and a desperate search for answers that had consumed her every waking moment.

As the iron gates of the mental institute swing open, my wife, Serena Seacrest, walks in with her childhood sweetheart, Adrian Cross, beside her. She looks at me with utter disgust. I am strapped tightly to the bed, unable to move. She sneers, "Damian, you've been subjected to electroshock treatments for an entire month. Is your mania any better? You pushed Adrian down the stairs and nearly broke his leg, so I sent you here to teach you how to be a normal person." Serena tosses a worn-out pink comfort bunny onto the floor and speaks as though she is granting me a favor. "Get down on your knees and apologize to Adrian. If you do, I'll be kind enough to let you see Lila next month." I sta

Adeline refused to answer my calls and texts, I sure know how she feels about not wanting to see me, I just pray I'm not too late. Rushing into the Mansion No staff greeted me, I had texted them earlier to give the place privacy. Up the curved staircase, past framed black-and-white photographs of city skylines and forgotten family portraits, I moved with purpose toward the master suite. The door was ajar. Inside, Adeline sat on the edge of the bed, still in the charcoal blazer and silk blouse she’d worn to the office that morning. Her knees were drawn together, phone cradled in both hands like something fragile and poisonous. The screen glowed against her face, illuminating the tracks of dri

The door creaked open, and I glimpsed my exit – such a cruel taunt, to see the way out and be utterly unable to reach it – before it groaned shut again, the latch sliding home and sealing us both inside. Red-soled heels tapped against the floorboards. I reached for the stake, remembering the way the fire-haired vampire had crushed my hand the last time I had done so. But it slipped against my palm, and I closed my fingers around it. “Hello, little hunter,” Alice purred. The ugly jut of her chin was made all the more obvious by the shadows, which pooled around her like liquid night. Her dark eyes glittered, like a thousand stars extinguishing at once. She was the cold of space, the places whe

Her hands shook and her heart trembled, and despite the haywire in his mind, all she could ever utter out was the name of someone who was no more: “Xavier…” THE NIGHT darkened, and for sure would be long. Adeline stirred. The relief from her deep sleep almost made her feel comfortable, but the jiggles of metals had her jolting awake. Her eyes met the familiar layout of a ceiling, causing a furrow in between her brows. How cruel. Locking her in her own pack's cell—well played. "L—Lady Adeline?" a timid voice sounded from nowhere. Adeline craned her neck and narrowed her eyes to find the source, until the lingering echo drowned under the consecutive sound of chains.

"The astrologer said, as soon as you sign here, your stars will immediately align with Charlie's. You… You have to sign… Please." I took the pen without hesitation and signed my name. As I finished the final stroke and lifted my gaze, I met Adrian's venomous gaze. I could see it clearly now—the signs of his decline were written on his face, darker and more defined than ever before. "Claire… Milton… You bitch, how dare you betray me!" he roared. He was about to lunge at me when his body suddenly froze. He clutched his chest, and his face contorted in agony. Then, he coughed up a torrent of crimson blood.

"It would’ve been a double kill." As Adeline continued to run, she eventually reached the end of the passageway where a heavy wooden door blocked her path. She pushed it open and stepped into the night outside of the Crimson Pack’s walls, where a small forest stretched ahead Adeline paused for a moment to catch her breath, not paying attention to the wound yet. She knew she had to keep moving. With one last look back towards the wall that surrounded the pack house, Adeline turned and ran into the forest.

Seeing that Adeline was terrified, Chloe went up to her and held her hand in comfort, "Come on, Adeline. It's only a tale from the olden days. So, take it with a grain of salt. Maybe you're just imagining things because your new married life is stressing you out too much." "Really?" Adeline asked aloud for reassurance, and she looked at Chloe with mixed feelings. Chloe rolled her eyes at that and said earnestly, "Adeline, you live in modern scientific society right now. You can't possibly believe that devils and ghosts exist in this world?" Adeline listened and processed Chloe's words, and she thought that Chloe was right and reasonable. She started to be convinced that she was either dreami

Before she could turn around, Madeline was walking towards her, "Adeline are you going somewhere?" The Lady stared briefly at her and nodded in response, "mmm." Adeline answered, looking at the girl before her. "You should not wait for me, I am going to see a friend and I'll be back a little bit late." Without waiting for a reply, she walked away and into the Cab. Madeline had an unspeakable expression on her face as she peered at Adeline's before she strutted to her class. Not long after, a cab pulled over at the center of the city. Adeline stepped down from the Cab after paying the transport fare. She crossed over to the other side of the road and stopped at a gorgeous building.

“My sister-in-law and the relic Odin himself gave her to protect. My brother has been searching for her and I haven’t heard from him in months, I have been working with Valhalla Bridge to find my sister-in-law and my brother and hopefully the relic she protects.” No wonder the order was so set on recovering the stolen property. He moved closer to me, placing his hands on my shoulders, “I know this is a lot to take in, I can let you digest it, and we can talk about it later, ok?” I frowned, “what’s there to think about, we have to find her and the relic. Before they do, gods know what with it.” “My wolf sees you as his mate, I want to give you time to process that because I am hoping you will
