“You know Alphas are trash. They are bad people.” Adeline tried to open her eyes. She blinked a few times before looking straight at Hazel. “Don’t hesitate to call me, okay?” she raised her fist and said. “If that Alpha did anything bad to you, I’m going to punch him in the face.” Hazel just nodded and did not object at all. “You should stop. You are already drunk.” Hazel insisted. “I’m not!” Adeline exclaimed. “I know what I’m doing!” She took another glass from the table and took it straight in one gulp.

This was a warning. Adrian is coming.

I chuckled, closing the distance between us and watching her smile wear off. “You have no idea what’s coming for you, Adeline.” I spat. “Today, you will be exposed. I don’t make promises or threats, my words are like an impending doom, they always come true.” “Watch your tongue!” “You watch yours!” “Enough,” Adeline gritted. “I will end this drama here. I have a witness that will clarify everything.” I frowned at her words, a witness? What was she on about now? Who was this mysterious witness?

It seemed like they weren’t speaking English. “Ah, it seemed like we don’t need you and your friend anymore.” He said, happily clapping his hands. Then, Vincent realized. They found Adeline. They were going to attack Cohen’s pack to get her for whatever they wanted from her. “Move them out. Make sure their bodies would be found,” He instructed the second guy. “Thank you for your unwilling participation, Vincent Hale. Fortunately, you and your friend don’t have to go through this session anymore. Unfortunately, your time is limited. We’re moving now.”

Adeline asked, her tone shaking. I don't know if she noticed it, but to my ear, it never escaped. As they sprinted toward the woods, Adeline appeared on her balcony. "Wait!" she called, concern etched. Her security detail, lurking in shadows, sprang into action. "Follow them!" Adeline directed. "Ensure their safety." Adeline descended, her elegant strides devouring distance. Adam glanced back, spotting Adeline and her team. "Run!" Adam urged.
