The head rolled onto its neck, its eyes staggering in their sockets.
“Fight!” It commanded, a grotesque smile touching its lips. “You chose this, now fight it!”
The being raised its sword, then made a swipe at me. An angry growl erupted from behind me, ice, and suddenly I was jolted back into the reality of my bed, and a screeching bedside alarm.
