Lunar Lake
Lena turned to watch her, curiosity flickering across her features.
“This is her,” she murmured. “The Luna.”
“Yes,” I said, instinctively stepping between them.
Lena’s silver eyes sparkled with amusement. “Relax, Alpha. If I meant her harm, we wouldn’t be having this conversation.”
Kate moved past me before I could stop her, extending her hand. “I’m Kate.” Lena didn’t shake it. Instead, she reached out and brushed her fingers against Kate’s wrist, skin to skin.
Kate gasped. Her knees buckled slightly. I caught her before she could fall. She blinked, breathless. “That was… different.”
