Verra entered the first greenhouse with the three behind her. Xasha had never felt energy concentration like this in his entire life. He felt that if he tried to absorb it, he would explode. Haley found Cassie in the greenhouse. Cassie liked places where things grew slowly. Controlled. Intentional. Sunlight filtered through the glass ceiling, catching in the mist from the irrigation system. Rows of herbs and medicinal plants lined the tables. The air smelled clean. Earthy. Grounded. Cassie didn’t look up when Haley stepped inside. “I wondered how long it would take you to find me." she said calmly. Haley stopped a few feet away.

By the time that I left the school, Hailey and I had reached a small agreement. For the most part, I am going to let her run the school and only step in if I feel as if something is wrong. Amora has agreed to be the counselor with more enthusiasm than I had expected. She admitted to having felt unneeded lately so maybe this will help her with that feeling. Right now, I am teaching Chelsea about some of the plants that live in the area as well as how I can use them. She might not be a witch but there is plenty that she can still learn from the plant and wildlife around her. It is never too early to teach them survival skills.
