My Dad, Ezekiel, laughed. He was sitting on a bench nearby, cleaning his big silver sword. Even though he’s the First vampire and super scary to everyone else, he always had a soft smile for me.
"The bees won't sting you, little wolf," Dad said, his periwinkle eyes glowing with a bit of mischief. "They just want to play. You have to be the boss of the bees. Tell them where to go."
