Her brow furrowed as she tried to make sense of my words. “Does that mean I shouldn’t love her?” she asked, her voice small.
“No,” I said quickly, shaking my head. “Never. You should love her, Miracle. She’s your mother, and that’s a bond no one can break.”
Her eyes searched mine, and I saw the conflict within her. “But… should I hate her?”
“Never hate,” I whispered firmly. “Hating someone only hurts you, not them. You’re too kind, too special for that.”
