He did all that for a bet. I felt something drop in the pit of my stomach. I could feel myself breaking. His words still cutting deep into my heart. Trying to cut my heart out. His words were still ringing in my ears. Besides that, I could also listen to my last piece of the heart being shattered. My trust came after that. I felt suffocated sitting in here. I needed some fresh air. "Say something," Damien said cutting the silence. I looked down not able to look up. I cannot. Not anymore.

They only let go to catch their breath. "Okay,I have to leave now my love but I don't want to." Beau said. "I know." "I will stay a little longer till you fall asleep." He started singing to her again and she was dozzing in no time. "Beau," she said as the song came to an end. "How come I was never good enough to fight for?" Unbeknownst to her, she had said the most heartbreaking thing he had ever heard. It was also a splash of cold water into his face. She had finally broken him.

The thing about heartbreak was you can’t see anyone other than the person that had hurt you. You can’t see how someone else looks at you because you’re blinded by the pain and betrayal from the past. You looked at everyone like they’re out to get you. Life becomes a series of black and white. Right and wrong. Good and bad. It’s bleak, lonely, and sad. Laughter becomes fleeting and happiness seems nonexistent. And though you appreciate the company and support the wound was still there. Someone may fill up the gap but it doesn’t heal the wound from the past.

Feeling a sore spot touched, he shot Sarah a dangerous look that made her clam up immediately. Ben noticed David and stumbled over, looking utterly dejected. "David, I got my heart broken," he slurred. Heartbreak happens to people every day, but few broadcast their misery as shamelessly as Ben was doing. David gave him a cool glance. "Mm-hmm," he grunted noncommittally. Ben continued, "Everything tastes bland now. I can't sleep. I can't focus on anything. All I can think about is her." David's grip tightened on the water bottle as he took in Ben's unkempt appearance and obvious weight loss. His eye twitched slightly.

He recounted their shared past in soft whispers, trying with all his heart to stir something inside her, to bring back even a flicker of what once was. But her memory remained a blank slate. "Charles," she asked one day, her voice light with confusion, "what have I forgotten? Why does it feel like… like there's a hole in my heart?" Charles looked at her, his voice low and filled with ache. "Maya… you've forgotten someone. Someone who used to mean a great deal to you." She frowned, trying to reach into the void—but found nothing. "If he was really that important… how could I forget him? I only remember you."

Adrian heard his own voice coming from the phone, saying, "I'm marking Sophia purely out of responsibility. Even if I mark her, I'll still put you first." His face instantly turned frantic as he stammered, "No! That's not what I meant. "Flora was crying and asking if I'd ever speak to her again after marking you. In my heart, Flora's just like a young, naive girl-next-door. I only said those things to comfort her."

We both were panting as I could feel our heartbeat becoming fast by each passing. I brushed my lips against his lips which were quivering in dread and spoke huskily. "....How come you are a heartbreaker when you are heartbroken yourself?" And that was it, all it took was this sentence to break him apart, to scatter him. My statement broke his heart. I asked sadly as a tear fell from his eyes. He was on the verge of a breakdown. He couldn’t bear it anymore.

I said as I walked towards her. "Sara, you're still holding grudges against me, how long are you gonna torture yourself and us huh?!" She asked. "You think you know what heart break is? Well You don't, better listen it is when someone claim that they love you but then they leave you, when you have hope that everything will be normal but it gets even worse." I said as tears falls down. "Sara.... Am ...." "No Simran you know what else it is when you happen to witness you mother dying right in front of your eyes and there's nothing that the doctors did. It's like death never wanted her to say goodbye." I said.

It was my heart. Shattered. Broken. Beyond repair. And I didn't know how to fix it.

I’m pretty sure this is what heartbreak feels like. Damn it.
