The woman looking back at me had sharp, predatory eyes, the dark kohl making my gaze look entirely colder than it actually was. The kohl and the contour were just the base. The real shield was a delicate, sparkling lace veil that draped from the gold hairpins at the crown of my head down to my shoulders. It obscured the lower half of my face in a soft, shimmering shadow, leaving only my eyes visible. It was a perfect disguise, striking enough to fit the high-society theme, but opaque enough to erase the plain American woman completely.

Hazel confused as to what he was up to watched as the doors to his room were thrown open and a maid carrying a small box in her hands walked into the room. When she got to where they were, she bowed her head and offered the box up to Raglan. Though the veil looked so simple, one could see that it was fit for the highest of royalty. The veil was made from a mesh type of material and it looked really dainty. She reaches into her bag and pulls out my veil. It’s simple, the same color as my dress, with a delicate lace trim at the bottom. Attached to it is a beautiful silver circlet with a soft blue gem that hangs down to the middle of my forehead when the circlet is placed on my head. “Something blue.” Something old. Something new. Something borrowed. Something blue. And something black.

After Sarah checked the fit, she smiled, “This is so you. I know you like simple everything, and I knew if you saw this one, it would be perfect. I have the perfect veil too.” She left the room and Queen Lori found her voice, “Sebastian is going to love that dress. It’s simple, but gorgeous. Lauren was in front of a floor length mirror, swishing back and forth in an ivory gown that glimmered faintly under the boutique's lights. Zazu was helping her to put on the veil .The veil cascaded in delicate waves, pure white and nearly translucent, reaching gracefully down to the floor.
